Why in the heck would the "Big 6" clubs not include a seventh - Portugal? They are clearly the best European team in the Cup right now, and have been dominant for the last 10 years. And let's not forget a few of the really good European teams that didn't even qualify this year, such as the Czech Republic, Croatia, Bosnia, Sweden and Ukraine. Most countries in the world can only wish for a fraction of the talent development system European countries have. Canada being one of them.

If Mexico and Uruguay tie, South Africa is out.
If Mexico loses by 1 SA needs 4 goals.
If Uruguay loses by 1 SA needs 6 goals.
and so on.
Got the feeling if URU and MEX start getting news about how the french have given up, they might just start kicking it around.

They can't. If Mexico were to lose 1-0 then South Africa could advance with a 4-0 victory.

What? Are we talking about the Portugal that barely qualified through the playoff system after losing their group to Denmark? The Portugal that dominated the Greeks in 2004? The dominant Portugal that drew Estonia and recently the powerhouse Cape Verde?
Dont let 1 game fool you, Portugal have been a pretty weak team for a while now, even after nationalizing a few Brazilians to shore up the weaknesses. Sorry man, just a wacky statement, if you cant win your group you're no 'European Powerhouse.'
Anyways, on to the match, I'm enjoying watch France implode. "There is no leader out there." Come on Man U, give Evra the armband, hes a stand up guy!

Dunno, I'm streaming CBC at work.
I have been watching the World Cup religiously since I was a little kid, and I have never seen a team implode quite so badly as this France team. They are setting a new standard of suck.

In WC 2002 they just sucked. They didnt hate their coach, refuse to train and have players sent home. They just couldnt score a goal.

No Zizou. He was what stirred the drink. Clearly the best international player to come along in quite some time. (Ronaldo is also up there too)

Obviously those 2 were generational talents, Brazil got a long way on Ronaldo's back, and he still holds the World Cup Goal Scoring record. Hes my favorite player of all time, he made some mistakes but he also scored some amazing goals.
Zidane is an epic talent. Theres no other way of saying it, the guy simply owned the middle of the field.
