I assume you're talking about the Suncor layoffs?

I don't disapprove of the UPC handling of Suncor, I fall under this was always going to happen camp. I disapprove of the people who used the prospect of skidish oil investment as a reason to vote for a party that was objectively worse in every way, when they should have know the party in power would have no immediate impact on something like this, and I really disapprove of the people who would have used this as evidence of how awful the NDP was, had they won the election.

These cuts were always coming.
And safety culture. The last CEO resigned shortly after the last fatality. Suncor had 5 fatalities since 2019. Just brutal.

They need to trim the upper end. Director -> GM -> VP -> SVP -> EVP -> C-suite. Way too many layers of upper management.
