Mark Buehrle on #bluejays' mindset: “It's fun. City's buzzing...We got that feeling of 'Whose butt we going to kick today?'"
More Buehrle: “There's just a different feeling. I felt the same way in '05 when we won the World Series." #bluejays

The pressure is off defense and base running when you're hitting 3 dingers a game...

Probably the triple play in Seattle.
It's very nice to see everything coming together!

With Monday an off day, I do wonder if Gibbons massages the starting rotation or if he leaves it as is and lets it set up so Price gets the Yankees on Friday and Escobar on Saturday but then sees Hutch on Sunday.

The Jays have 4 off days in the next 2 weeks, so I think you could see Buherle pitch the finale of the Yanks series on short rest (1 day less) and have him only required to pitch 5 innings if necessary because they have a day off after that. You could then have Hutchison pitch against the Phillies which is less of an issue.

Alternatively they could keep Buherle on regular rest and have him start off the A's and shift Hutch down a spot which would allow Hutch to skip the Yanks without starting Buherle on short rest.

Just when it seemed like things couldn't get any better for the Jays, things definitely did get better.
Stroman officially cleared to pitch off the mound and has blown away Dr. Andrews with his speedy recovery. I don't even know if my mind can comprehend adding that arm to this existing bullpen. This team is going to be an absolute force in the playoffs.

I have a really bad feeling about the Oakland series, and I hate the pitching matchups.
The one positive thing that I am clinging to is the fact that they had the day off today. Hopefully they can forget about the Yankees, refocus, and be ready to play the Athletics.
Sure wish there was a way to save Dickey for the NY series.

Hopefully they can forget sweeping one of the best teams in baseball in a stadium that has been a mental block for them for years?
I hope they remember that, personally.

I could see the Jays putting up a crooked number on Graveman. They pounded him for 3 home runs in Oakland, the Rogers Centre will not be kind to him. Mind you we are parading out Hutchison as well, but Jays lineup >>>> A's, so advantage Jays.
I don't know enough about Brooks, but new starters haven't fared well against the Jays this year. Buerhle going in that game I still give Jays the advantage based on the offense.
Game 3 will be very difficult, as Gray is just nasty. Still, with Dickey going the way he's been lately, there's a fighting chance for sure. Overall, I'd say very possible that the Jays take at least 2 out of 3.

Devon Travis is not expected back before September. Not the biggest loss if this team keeps mashing and Goins fields his position as well as he has been. Still, if Travis can get back and get in some meaningful games before the playoffs...look out for the Jays.

It's what made me a fan of the team. The year they started my Dad brought me a similar cap home from a business trip to Toronto.

I honestly can't believe people are angry at Dallas Braden's "beer league softball team" comment. I suspect most only saw David Price's tweet, and he missed the context entirely. Braden was complimenting the offence. He compared the Jays' ability to hit at will at the Major League level to what those stacked beer league teams can do at their level.

Watching the Yanks/Indians game. Seats in the dugout?
Had to look it up, but ya - dugout suites available. Had no idea and that's pretty cool.

Man the tribe sucks. 4 batters come up with a runner in scoring position and they don't cash him.
