I would assume if it was completely without basis those in the legal departments of the various brokerages and banks would tell their employers/customers not to worry about it.
I think even a minor risk of litigation, let alone successful litigation, would be enough to chill the market without concessions being made in pricing. A completely baseless claim wouldn't have that impact, but there are certainly points of argument here, at least enough to have a court entertain them.

You can watch a live feed of the taxpayers of Glendale being bent over and buggered via the Winnipeg Free Press if you want

lolol. oh man. I feel so bad for the people of Glendale. Their dirty politicians have put them into this mess. 2 crappy outcomes. Lose a team and have a huge building with no main tenant, or, continue to be reamed in the butt by the NHL.

NHL rep says season ticket renewals at over 80% and 600 new season tickets sold, of course he prefaced it all by saying 'I think'

the arena is great for people in wheelchairs. that's nice. it really is.

wtf does that have to do with the city dumping tens of millions into a toilet?

"It's a beautiful facility. The people that work there are beautiful people... like Craig and uh... Gerry! ... uh."

Yeah, that's great. It's a shame their aren't 20 000 other people in the city that feel the same.

The stories are kinda sad, would hate to be in their position.

Still, it's a lose-lose situation and they need to get out now.

WHo's idea was it to move the site of the arena from Phoenix to Glendale? Didn't they originally have one in the city proper?
