You were saying the organization clearly didn't have a plan a few weeks ago.

It was 5 PM mountain time when the Flames had to sign EBUG Dusty Nickel earlier this season because of Markstrom being held out of the lineup last minute due to illness.

Don't really need to hold Markstrom out..... opening the gate shouldn't cause injury

Things have changed, yes? You're the one always complaining when people won't change their perspective when more information comes available. More information has come available. He's shared more information and is following through on what he laid out. Time to give him more rope.

I often disagree with you, so I am particularly happy to say that I agree with you now 100%.

No that's good.

It's the sweeping condemnation with no information plus just ignoring the previous information that had me scratching my head.

Would the Flames take the chance that if Wolf got injured that they have to play Markstrom?

I guess they have no choice, can't fake sickness to sign a EBUG.

Is a team not allowed to use an EBUG for a trade situation?

If the deal is completed in principle, does it just get announced after the game?

I don't agree. Toffoli trade was in the summer and Conroy did a good job replacing him after a career year.

Conroy traded Zadorov for a pick and we played better since the trade. But, Zadorov was not playing as well as he did the year before.

Lindholm trade just happened, and we have played well since. But part of why Kuzmenko slides in and replace Lindholm and the team keeps rolling is Lindholm was playing well below expectations.

If Conroy trades Markstrom, Tanev and Hanifin, these 3 are not even close to playing below expectations. I don't see a trade where we add firsts and trade these guys and keep rolling as we are now. Even if Wolf plays as well as Markstrom, this team will slide without those 2 dmen.

Nope. I don't think he ever speculated the return package.

He didn’t say what the return was but that it would have been really good for the Flames new direction

I would not be upset with a 1st, Holtz and a B prospect.

That's what I thought as well.

Makes it seems the assets being discussed is probably what is to be expected.

Kypreos on his show very confidently said that there is no way the Leafs don't trade away their 1st by the trade deadline. Wonder if Conroy has been waiting for Treliving to flinch given the Toronto 1st would be the highest out of the teams rumored to be interested in Tanev.
