Don't think it matters what he wants unless he terminates his contract or the Flames will retain.

Flames could easily trade that contract, Kadri has won and is a center, took him a bit of time but he’s really producing now even though the team has lost key pieces, he’s a leader and really taken Zary and Posp under his wing, not a bad contract atm whatsoever.

Don't know why Kadri would be upset. He's done quite well adapting to the youth movement. And they aren't even the best of the youths yet.

From what I heard Kadri is actually happy with the way things are going this year. Thinks the retool will have them competing pretty quickly.

I don't think so. What contender has a spot for him. I imagine he just stays in Calgary if his option is another middling team

I envision this alleged call from Fitzgerald to Conroy being a lot like Adele singing hello.

If Conroy gets another return similar to that he got for Lindholm I don't think you'll get any of the veterans running away. It's all about the talent and Conroy could be grabbing some interesting players and prospects that may see the team hurting for a short period of time and jumping back into the playoff mix in short order. I think this could be setup for a quick turnaround rather than years of pain which drives vets away. I think Kadri is here for the long-term and will see that as a legacy challenge for him.

If something was imminent with NJ wouldn’t they hold out their principles for tonight’s game? Let’s look to their line up in a couple hours for something

The Flames would hold out the principles. Not sure it matters much if one of the Flames targets gets injured unless it is a career ending or threatening injury.

Just for clarification, not having time to read all comments/ppages. Has any insider said anything today on Markstrom, or are these internal (CP initiated) rumors?

It really took off when Salim and Steinberg said Markstrom wasn’t on the ice and Vladar was back up.

Calling them as I sees them, just as I always have. Give me something to believe in and see a path forward and I'll be extremely supportive. Show zero plan and I'll roast you. Conroy has discussed what he has in mind and is actually following through on that. The previous guy, not so much. A trade of Markstrom and moving the team forward is a move that puts a stamp on the team and has potential to be a difference maker. I fully support making smart moves and if the deal plays out like is suggested he's moving the team forward and not just "trying to get in and see what happens."

Not sure they could hold out Markstrom for tonight’s game. They wouldn’t have a backup goalie if they did. I think flames would have had to have already called up a goalie from farm to play tonight. Granted I’m not quite sure what time the cut off is for having player registered for tonight’s game.
