Generally speaking what torment level do you run it on and what is your sheet dps (obviously not indicitive of true dps but just for a general idea)?

I am all for finding good EXP runs, but only if it doesn't impact others due to rapid game re-creation.
My one cent... after taxes.

I guess that's a concern I should be aware of but I'm using a crappy laptop. If there's server lags I'm the first one to notice. :P
It might be more of a concern at peak hours but I'm not too worried about creating a lot of games at 1 am. As for EXP, yeah it was crazy when I was in a good multi person run with experience shrines and pools. I would not be surprised if I was getting 3B an hour but easily I was getting 2B.

I'm now doing pretty much exclusively torment 6. I was for awhile going back to torment 5 when I had a pool (so I was less likely to die with it) but at this point for me all I had to do was make it like 3 or 4 runs without dieing and my pool was expired anyways at torment 6.
My non-buffed DPS was like 300k but I go WotB (high damage for 20 seconds) have brawler and battle rage into the fray (huge damage in big mobs) so it can climb up to past 500k and with 13% rend, 15% physical, like 60% splash and even my pants with 300% weapon damage I end up doing a fair bit of damage. It was especially good with Flaming Choy as he could group them up and if I did it right I could jump right in use all my stuff and hopefully kill all the monsters with him before going to the next group. The big trade off is I have very little focus damage, I can do a lot of damage to a lot of monster but once that elite is by himself I'm pretty much useless. If you have a set up where you can focus your damage on a monster it's probably worth it to take out the elite and maybe see some better drops in there.
I also have the shoulders that allow me to teleport while taking damage so even if the elite is right next to me I can start teleporting and make it back in town in 2 seconds for the next game. However, freeze, nightmare, etc. stops the town portal.

So I ran COTA on Torment II probably a dozen or so times. I seem to be getting solid XP, but the yellow in that dungeon seems to drop crap. A few times the skeleton only dropped a blue and nothing else. I'll probably do some A3 Torment I runs to see if I can get better gear so that I'm not eternally suck on COTA Torment II.
Edit: For COTA, I've just been killing the yellow then resetting. Is that the way to go? Or should I clear the room?

You want to clear the white mobs, also its best in a group as the xp boost is multiplied per member. I think its like 4800% on T6 with 4 players?

Bah wish I was on NA servers with you guys, I've been soloing the keep on torm 4 pretty decent speed and XP, but tried solo 4 and 5 on torm on COTA and it was just too hard, don't have the DPS on my WD, might try my luck on the wiz.

Tried that Cota thing last night and I don't see the appeal. Is it the kind of thing where you need a group for the exp multiplier? Or is it just bad on T1 where I can clear quickly

T1 isn't great for XP and without a group you don't get the full benefit. With a group of 4 on T6 we were at 5000% XP. We bumped down to T4 for less deaths and got about 2800%. If you did it by yourself you are looking at 800% so its a huge difference.

If anyone has a low level hardcore character, or wants to start one out, feel free to join me in game.
Quite a different style of gameplay. Dying is NOT an option!

The COTA run is simply for exp. Pick up every item you get however and salvage them.
I don't see the point in farming for gear at this point. Anything you find now will be useless once RoS comes out.
Sell all your gems as well, even the ones in your gear (wait until last min on that). Apparently there is mobs that drop marquee gems so having a radient gem now will also become useless when the new gems drop.

Careful about the gems.... Marquis and higher will still have a HUGE cost to remove if you ever want to do so....for the extra couple points of life or whatnot it may very well NOT be worth it. Judge for yourself accordingly....
Edit... I do have to clarify, there WAS still a high cost to remove a Marquis gem in the PTR if memory serves. Perhaps if anyone has a Marquis in there gear, they could confirm what the price of it is to remove now? Without removing it, of course. Used to cost 5 million....
Edit 2 Oiling Roach just confirmed it is now a much more reasonable 75K.

One thing to keep in mind is gold is bound on account and with the auction house gone it's usage will be significantly different.
Selling everything you have for gold wont allow you to just buy some of that amazing reaper of souls items with gold even if rare level 70 items become the norm. So I'd say keep some stuff, maybe downgrade your gems or whatever but make sure you still are capable of leveling up your 60 characters.

So if I wanted to buy some gold, I should do it before the AH closes?

Hm, I don't even see the USD button to switch to the RMAH, I have a default payment method setup.. do I need to load a balance? That would seem odd.

I don't believe you need a balance. From my understanding you attach your paypal account to your blizzard account and it uses that.
The USD button should be in the top right corner when you are viewing the AH.

I've got a credit card attached to my payment account, maybe it takes time.
EDIT: I added paypal too, still no dice.
EDIT2: I put in a support ticket, guess we'll see what they say.

I took my whole USD balance is my account (like $20) and dumped it into gold and gems last week. I wish I had done it sooner, because I think the price almost doubled since the I checked a couple weeks earlier.
