Why would they travel already? I bet they don't go to Edmonton until tomorrow.

Don't think Barkov's status will be announced until Thursday.
Even suspension aside, why give Edmonton time to gameplan for him being in or out the next game?
Unless him not traveling leaks or they're required to say something for some reason, absolutely no benefit to saying anything.

Maybe you're right... I always thought NHL teams flew for road games as early as possible and practiced in city where the next game will be day before but maybe not in the playoffs.
Man I know the frame by frame is always worse but you look at how far off his feet Draisaitl was and it's hard not to see a suspension coming:

Draisaitl asking 'for what?' after receiving only 2 minutes for leaving his feet to elbow a guy in the head is the most entitled-scumbag-oilers move ever. What a piece of s***.

Minimizing the time you have to spend in that s***hole city is always a good idea.

Florida has to keep to the game plan.
Clean hockey between the whistles.
The Oilers can only win if they get enough powerplays.

When you've never been penalized or suspended for the insane amount of crap you do, you can't believe it when it actually happens. He's been brought up by the NHL his entire career like an entitled baby who's parents never said no.

Sounding positive from Maurice on Barkov this morning. Saying he came in and wasn't worse today (clearly a concussion concern) and things look positive for him playing if he's still in good shape tomorrow morning.
I love how all the Panthers from Maurice down are refusing to even comment on the hit. Shows how locked in they are on winning the Cup this time around.

Sportsnet is pumping this false narrative of the Oilers being Canada's team for their ratings, if this was a Oiler/Leaf final and that happened to Matthews they would be calling for Draisaitl's head.

Nope. He has the look of a coach that isn't overly concerned about losing one of the best players in the league next game or beyond.

If this was an Oilers Leafs final I'd have to move back to the UK and give up my citizenship, fortunately I'm 62 so sod all chance of that in my lifetime

SN seemed heavily biased towards the Oilers over the Leafs during the regular season which really raised my eyebrows.
Had this been an Oilers/Leafs final I don't think the coverage would be all that different. I think they'd still favor the Oilers.
Its part of what made this year, more so than others, feel just so "off" to me when it came to the Oilers and how they're covered.

Is there a video of this? I was shown one angle of that play to call Tkachuk a diver. Looking for a good rebuttal.

Meant to reply to this the other day- was this in a Calgary Canadian Tire?? If so, just shows the entitlement oilers fans have- way too many of them around. Imagine being in a rival team's city and giving somebody from that city a dirty look for cheering against your team.
If the flames were in the SCF (ha-ha, maybe one day) I couldn't imagine going to dumpsterville and razzing an edmontonian for cheering against the Flames.

He clearly got the end of a stick in his face so I don't know how anyone can call it diving? Maybe he milked it a bit afterwards, but it was an incredibly stupid play by Bouchard in the SCF (which isn't surprising).
