Mike Zibenejad is not a player the Canucks would have any interest in.

The same could be said of the Laf/Schneider deal you mentioned. The value seems way off the other way.

Miller to the Rags seems to make sense, but only if they think they can turn it around quickly. Maybe something around Trochek? Dunno.

Didn't the Rangers get rid of Miller already? We sure they'd want him back? Did the owner like him?

Again, the Canucks are apparently not looking to move Miller. They are listening to offers though. Like last time they did this with the Rangers, they put out what it was going to take and held firm. I suspect it will be the same again this time.

Drury is apparently hyper focused on Miller.

The difference being, if they aren't a little more flexible this time, nothing will get done (again), and their issues will persist.

I suspect something will get done this time. (not necessarily with Miler and the Rags, but something)

The Rangers have been rewarded for staying patient with Lafreniere. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for them to trade him now for a 30+ year old Miller because they like Miller after seeing their patience pay off. Trochek or Mika or Kreider + make sense.

Stranger things have happened, but I can't see the Rangers trading young players for old man Miller.

And thus the trade will not happen.

Rick Dhaliwal was on the Kyper and Bourne show yesterday and mentioned that Allvin called Pettersson out publicly because they're not happy with his performance since signing the 11.6 and was basically their way to tell him it's time to start producing when you're back or we will move you. Not sure that's the right approach given Pettersson's history when the focus publicly is so intensely zeroed in on him.

The message sent to Pouty Petey will be picked up on by player agents and filed away for future prospects.

Incredibly laughable that any Canuck fan that thinks they are getting 23 year old Lafreniere for 32 year old Miller. Utter delusion. If a deal happens it is probably Kreider or Zibenijad but I think the lack of options due to Miller’s NMC and popularity amongst the fans will lead to Pettersson being the guy that is sent packing.

I guess Drury could be such a terrible GM they make that deal but I can’t see it

Incorrect assessment to what is happening here, friend. I don't think the Canucks will get that. I am saying that is the Canucks management has been very steadfast in moving players for specific packages. Last time through, the Canucks would not move Miller to the Rangers for anything less than Lafreniere and Schneider. There is zero reason to think this ask has changed and that any deal, if it were to happen, would involve one or both.

Hence, may saying: Deal is unlikely to happen.

If the Canucks had any interest in either of those players a deal would have already happened. The Rangers would have lept at it.

Almost every Canucks fan is saying it would be insane to move Pettersson over Miller, so you're not doing a good job of reading the fan base there.

But you can see a hall-of-famer executive caving to media pressure and shipping their current #1 center out for washed up junk?

You talk like the Rangers wanted Miller and the Canucks wouldnt do it unless they got what they wanted.

Truth is now the Canucks are the ones having to make the change because their team is suffering due to having both Petey and JT on it.

Huge difference. They no longer hold the cards.

Do they? They're not doing a lot of leg work for something they "need" to do.

I hope they don't.

Let these idiots continue to undermine the team.

I think it’s either the Flames or the canucks that will get the final playoff spot. It will be interesting to see how much the canucks will self implode.
