Is head-to-head the first tie-breaker between NE and DEN?

Andy Reid is just a reckless, arrogant jackass at this point.
Quote:
McCoy left the field on a cart after having suffered a concussion, Reid confirmed. Asked why McCoy was still in the game at that point, Reid said: "Because we were trying to catch up and win the game."
|
This was with under two minutes left in the game, down 31-6. What an #######.

Yes, head to head usually comes first after home-loss record in most scenarios.
Houston holds the tie breaker over Denver and Baltimore holds tie breaker over NE so far. Houston-Pats and Baltimore-Denver coming up in the closing weeks.
Pats have 2 very tough games left against San Fran and Houston, and Jets may be a small challenge with Gronk and Hernandez out. Denver has a very difficult game left against Baltimore, and Tampa Bay might be a tough one.
Baltimore and Houston have pretty tough schedules down the stretch and Denver or Pats could sneak into 2nd

Do you guys think they'll ever get rid of PATs? Just give a TD 7 points but if you want to "go for 2" you have to risk 1 point to get another one.

Well, they have changed rules to make field goals harder, but never for PATs as far as I know. PATs are missed sometimes, but it is extremely rare where a last second missed PAT costs the game- that New Orleans "miracle lateral" game from years ago comes to mind.

They should do it like rugby. You have to kick in line from where the ball is touched-down. That would literally make it a "touch-down" again, and make some PATs more difficult. If the angle is tough, you could elect to go for two.

When was the last time a team missed a PAT and when was the last time a team faked a PAT kick?
At this point it seems pretty pointless for a play that must have 99% or better success the past 5-10 years.

well that blocked PAT being returned for 2 in the Stamps/Riders game last week was a pretty big play in the game

Von Miller has 24.5 sacks through the first 25 games of his career. Only his idol, the late Derrick Thomas had more (25) through the first 25 games of his career.
I think, as a Broncos fan, I'm probably witnessing the early stages of the career of the second greatest football player to every play for the Broncos....and that's saying something.

Yup.
But that's not allowed in the NFL.

I knew Miller was gonna be good, but right now he's a complete freak out on the field. So much fun seeing him cause havoc in the backfield.

My Cowboys again don't look good even when they manage to win. Teasing the fans before they lay another egg.

he is a fantastic players but he is lucky to play in the AFC west, where it is easier to run up sack totals.... how many has he had against the Chargers alone? but yeah Denver made a solid pick, picked a good year to be bad

I can't even count the reasons I want Reid fired anymore, list is too big.
Chip Kelly's name has been coming up a lot again lately, have to wonder if the Eagles will take a run..

Willis McGahee is out for 6-8 weeks with a torn MCL and a broke bone, big loss for Denver
Hillman is going to get a big chance to show what he has in the next 2 months

So angry that the Eagles are crapping the bed this year.
Purchased tickets to go see the Eagles-Giants for my first NFL game on December 30th with the hopes that the division would be on the line in the last game of the year.
Now it is more likely that the game will mean nothing.

Hey morons at the NFL office, with his neck issues, he would NEVER lead with his head intentionally. The NFL is slowly moving toward being a sport for #####'s.

Him and Ball. There's no way Hillman is going to carry the load.
I do wonder if they will bring in another back or activate Moreno to spell Ball.
I will say that I'm not going to miss Willis' fumbles. He's had absolutely brutal ball security this season.
