How about Horak with 2g so far? I think he is flying under the radar as a prospect for the flames. It looked like he had some good offensive insticts early last season he along with the rest of the team had his offense dry up most likley because of Brent Sutter. Looks like he is starting to drive the net again be more assertive in the offensive zone.

I liked Horak's goal tonight. Drives the net. Goalie takes a dive, and Horak takes advantage.

It wasn't wrong it was just taken earlier in the evening. Nice job being a wet blanket though.

Regardless, Sven looked very poised out there tonight. He and Brodie looked like veterans.

Sven just about had another A if that puck hadn't bounced around but I think he'll continue to pile up the points. He just looks so confident.

Nice to see Sven continue his 2ppg pace from the WHL. We'll see how long he can keep it up!

(Very early I know, but whatever.)

Yes it was wrong. The Syracuse game was over around the time the Heat game started. In fact it is still wrong, but if you click the link for the full list at the bottom of that it shows Conacher #1.

And is it really being a wet blanket to point out it was a mistake? Sven is off to a great start especially for a rookie, he has been great so far.

I hope to see more sweet passes from Brodie to Bartshi one timers in the years to come.

Yes. Yes it is.

You might as well have posted the Dwight Schrute "False" photo along with your correction.

Does everything have to turn into a pissing match?
Who cares about his standings in a points race after two games?
Happy to see Sven isn't having any issues adjusting to the ahl level, but I shouldn't be surprised after not looking out of place in the nhl.

False statement. Moon is a solid contributor. I always look forward to his opinion, whether I agree or not. A differing opinion is always welcome.

Wicked start by Sven. Hope he keeps it up, along with the rest of the Heat.

When Moon isn't rubbing a large percentage of the board the wrong way, he's quite good to talk to. He knows a lot about the game. His people skills are lacking.

And powerful, Sven Baertschi. Screw Sid, Sven is the guy Gretzky should be worried about.

Why cant the Heat play in the Dome? I would def buy a ticket and i'm sure the owners wouldn't mind the extra revenue..

That wouldn't be fair to Heat season ticket holders.

Give both of them a refund, and free season tix for next season.

Not sure if you're serious.. but don't get me wrong, I love Sven but we shouldn't be getting ahead of our selves right now.

Sometimes they will be. This Saturday, October 20, Sportsnet One, Heat vs. big stupid baby divers.

Pretty sure if Abbottsford doesn't work out, Calgary could easily take on an AHL team. There is enough support, even if only 5000 or so showed up to the game.

Even with the Hitmen? Toronto balanced NHL, AHL and OHL for a short time but their OHL team failed miserably and moved to Mississauga.
