Appears that Villa has landed Moussa Diaby. Definitely gives them some weapons up front and continues a very nice transfer window so far.

Sounds like PSG is pushing for Kane. Hopefully they pay an ungodly amount of money, and hoping that actually gets reinvested in the club and not just to ENIC.

Well, Joe Lewis (majority owner of ENIC that owns Spurs) has been indicted on insider trading charges. It's described as "brazen" and frankly the SEC and US Justice don't mess around on cases they don't think they can get a conviction. He transferred Spurs to a trust that is run by his daughter years ago, so maybe no direct implications for the club, but it'll be interesting nonetheless.
Assuming he lives long enough, it could well mean jail time and financial penalties.

You’ve just got to love the ownership community in soccer.
Such great people - salt of the earth.
This is in no way a criticism of Spurs, we’re all owned by complete scrotes at varying levels of scroteness.

I think it's all the money and it's virtually the wild west that attracts the rich degenerates. Sure, there are some rules, but they're hardly enforced. Everyone knows what's going on behind the scenes in a lot of these cases and there's nothing done.

This is true, but I do feel bad in some ways for teams like Spurs, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, etc.
Teams that are trying to be run like competent businesses rather than driven hard and put away wet as toys for Oligarchs and Petro-Nations.
Arsenal and Spurs specifically, the way they've operated over the last years to soundly fund their operations and build new stadiums in a calm and sustainable financial manner and then Petro-States and Oligarchs are air-dropped in and throw the entire financial playing field into complete disarray?
Sure, they're not winning trophies left and right, but they're operating as competent entities. They're making money, they're paying off their assets etc. but you just cant compete with Petro-States that are just hauling buckets of cash out of thin air.

Manchester United have rejected a £20 million ($25.7m) bid from West Ham for Harry Maguire, sources have told ESPN.

Someone offered you something for Maguire and you didnt take it and run?
I can just envision United's Cariboo Cup Maguire/Jones pairing already.

I know you have to refresh the squad and everybody gets old, but I am going to genuinely miss Jordan Henderson.

maaaan, I love that ten Hag is getting his targets, but that fee for Rasmus Hojlund is nuts. Striker market is completely broken anyway, but you're purely paying for upside here. Watched him a bit at Sturm Graz and he was insanely talented, but come on ... the kid has gone from Kopenhagen to Graz to Atalanta to United in 18 months, that is insane. Really rooting for him to make it, but that fee is a huge burden for a 20-year-old.

Arsenal, already having a quality keeper in Ramsdale but one who might have some questions, immediately go out to look at adding a quality keeper in Raya.
Spurs desperately in need of a keeper for years happy to go with the cheapest option from mid table Serie A.
It says everything we need to know about the ambition of each club. Doesn't mean Arsenal is winning the league but at least their club takes steps to try and get there.

Is Loris Karius available?

It is a lot of money and he is very young, sort of unproven, but this is what the 'Business Clubs' have to do, take swings.
Its only marginally different than what Liverpool did with Darwin. You've got to assess a target, take a swing and hope your Scouts and coaches are worth their money.

I agree with Locke here. In fact, other than where it is blatantly obvious, I genuinely don’t know what counts as good business in this market. It is a completely insane market.
With the Saudi contribution, if anything, it will likely get worse.

Apparently Jay Z is making a bid to buy Tottenham.
He's looking for the elusive 100th problem.

I doubt that he's actually doing this, but I'd be thrilled.

He also claims to be an Arsenal fan so maybe it's all a plot to destroy them (more).

I am either vastly under-estimating Jay Z's net worth or vastly over-estimating Tottenham's value.
I dont think Jay Z could even afford those seats with the heaters in them.
