Yeah 45 seconds before the goal was scored. And it may have been offside by about a 1/2 millimetre. Any other team, but the Oilers, and I think the league just calls it a day on that one.

Don't forget too that the team they are playing on a back to back today had to travel to Boston for their game yesterday.

He has to be in the running for worst player ever inducted into a professional sports HOF. There’s probably a hundred players outside of the NHL HOF that check more boxes.

Gary Suter has 845 points in 1145 games, is a career +126, and had 1349 PIMS.
Rookie of the year as one of the biggest steals in history, 5 time all star, cup champ. 4th highest scoring American D (while player 500 fewer games than third place Chelios).
Seems like he kind of deserves to be in the Hall more than Lowe does.

The screen shots I saw weren't conclusive to me. But it's kind of telling that the Oilers were already changing into civvies.

Correct.
How is Keith Tkatchuk or Jeremy Roenick on the outside with Kevin inside. Makes zero sense. Fleury is his own worst enemy because he is a threat to embarrass every & anything associated with the Hall, so that can slide.

Player 1 1222 GP 403 points +448 * one 2nd team all star
Player 2 1254 GP 431 points +260 ** King Clancy award
* 10th all time, the rest of the top 21 are HOFers their names are Robinson, Orr, Bourque, Gretzky, Clarke, S Savard, Potvin, Lidstrom, Trottier, Lafleur, M Howe, Stevens, Shutt, Bossy, MacInnis, Park, Chelios, Lemaire, Lapointe Mikita
** 39 overall- still good and mostly surrounded by HOFers but getting into guys like Terry Harper, Ken Hodge and Jimmy Watson
now I realize +/- can be a (very) flawed stat, but when you are +448 and surrounded by elites it is saying something. inducting that player would not cheapen the HOF
player 2 is of course Lowe, player 1 a former Flame and Stanley Cup champ
both benefited from playing on very good teams, and were I suppose defensive /non-elite offensive Dmen hard to judge by available metrics

I wish the Hall would have higher standards. Only the best of the best. Right now it's largely the Hall of Very Good.
That being said, Hakan Loob should be in there for both his contributions to the NHL and International hockey.
Also #### Kevin Lowe.

Yeah the HHOF a kind of a joke compared to baseball and football. There are some great talents that failed to make those HOFs. Hockey seems to let in any scrub who had a moderately successful career.
In conclusion, Edmonton, just like the HHOF, is no good.

every Hall makes mistakes, see: Harold Baines as a recent example, but I agree baseball is tighter

So...whats the Prestige left in the HHOF? I'm sure its nice to be inducted and all, but how much do people actually care?
I've been there once, I think I was 11? And I'll probably never go again. Its...pretty boring.
Is it just to able to say that you're a 'Hall of Famer' how much value does that hold?

parade is back on, they have shut out what is probably the worst team in the NHL at the moment. Pitt is beyond awful and they deserve it by going all in with a player like Karlson, solid move Dubas
