I think after two games.... I may be jumping the gun here, but I do feel like you do, somehow I think this 5x5 experiment is about to go extremely awful for the Oilers.

Oiler fans are idiots. There is no big mystery here, nor is Zito an idiot like people are suggesting. With both Huberdeau and Weegar coming up for contracts, they were likely going to lose at least one. He decided to put all his eggs together and acquired the younger star player with more years of prime. I think many Flames fans are under selling Tkachuk’s abilities and value. It was a good deal for both teams.

It will be playoff performances that will ultimately decide who won or loss this trade. Stay tuned.

So I guess when the Oilers were down 0-3 in their series against the Avs McDavid whisper "let's go" and lead the way to 4AM strip club in Edmonton and that's why they got swept? ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/calpuck/smilies/rolleyes2.gif)

I agree that trading them was about their pending contract costs. And maybe playoff performances.
Nonetheless, Zito overpaid massively, and it was a fleecing by Treliving.

Thank you! I've always thought he has very marionette-like features. I'm not sure if it's his shiny cheeks or what, but guy looks like if a ventriloquist doll became a real person.

Goes to show Kassian can't win a fight against anyone who actually squares up with him.

It looked to me (you need to watch the full clip before they dropped their gloves) like he was trying to back away in hopes the linesemen got in the middle of them but you notice that Xhekaj was having nothing of it and skated right at him before he could chicken out. The guy has always been a fraud.
