Wimbledon sets up it's court for big servers, they cannot be surprised when they do well.

But grass lends itself to serve and volleying, not really anti-tennis since movement on grass is so key. The prospect of Isner-Anderson and a 132-130 fifth set is....actually amazing cause then the final gets pushed back to Monday, so no conflict with the WC Final. Maybe that's what the organizers want.

I just think Federer has made more inroads on Anderson's serve in this set than Anderson has, the last few games have been pretty stress-free holds for Fed. Anderson's been pretty close to losing a few times. But we're into extra time now, anything can happen.

EDIT: Never mind, not quite extra time, deuce on Anderson's serve.

There is a lot of pressure on Anderson serving last.

Federer misses an easy volley and finally Anderson gets his chance...

EDIT: Federer wins three straight points and gets out of it without major issue. I dunno, Fed has looked good for this whole set.

To be a fly on the wall in the dressing room right now, as Milos and Isner wait.

Seeing as their match is now guaranteed to conflict with the WC, I imagine they're thinking

"What's it like to play a grand slam QF with like 74 fans in attendance?"

If I have tickets to the Wimbledon semis, and Canada is in the semifinals of the Olympics (you know, back when they mattered), or say it's the WCF I want to watch, I'm still going to Wimbledon.

Yeah but Canada wins all the time. England only makes it to a semifinal once in a generation.

In 2002 we hadn't, and still... it's Wimbledon.

Fed holds at love. This seems like it could be a bit.

To be fair the tickets sold for Friday are for both matches, but they'll be putting Anderson-Isner/Raonic first if it happens, and most people will be hitting the Pimms bar ahead of Nadal-Djokovic, seeing as that automatically becomes the real final.

Anderson-Isner/Raonic can beat Djokovic/Nadal on this surface.

Raonic maybe, but it'd take the match of his life. The other two could do the match of their lives and still get straight setted.

Who else wants to see the Nadal - Delpo match finish before Fed - Anderson?

Fed double faults into a match point... he's sweating now. Looks like Anderson just had to wait him out.

And now a second serve...

And there it is.

I think he will, he's shown no signs of stress or pressure. Federer is getting a bit tired. Although that was a pretty brutal error.
