I'm a little bitter, but when you're beating someone who can barely stand up it's time to put the fist pumps away, imo.

Tough day for Milos. He looked absolutely spent.

Jeeze. Wonder what Milos will say.

This is a blow. US Open just isn't his tournament.

I would think 7 times broken in a match might be a career high for Milos. Only positive I guess is he wasn't defending that many points (3rd round 2015).

He'll say his body broke down and he couldn't play his game.

He was in the match the whole time while his body was giving out. If he ws 100% I'm pretty confident he'd have won that. He could barely move.

Hindsight is always 20/20, but I wish Milos would have played in Rio and bypassed the Masters 1000 tourney in Cincy.

Hard to say. Masters semifinal points are valuable

No doubt they are, Girly, I was just thinking more about potential positive vibes and a change of pace from the tour grind etc. Who knows, he might have struggled in Rio as well, I guess from my own selfish perspective it would have been cool to see him compete at the Olympics.

Wrist issues, cramping, and judging by the creak in his voice, battling a bug as well?

Because when Canadians aren't playing, TSN saddles us with the ESPN coverage.

Speaking of: Oh, look! A USA/USA match-up followed by a USA/USA match-up!

It's unfortunate as he really had a great shot at #3 in the world with a deep run in NY.

As you say, he pretty much only has points to gain the rest of the year so it's still very conceivable he finishes #3/4 considering some of these indoor tournaments will be ripe for the taking with the season he has been having.

Because of all the rain during the day, the DAY session is still going on the outer courts while the matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium are done. So if you got a day ticket since 11am, you're still there!

and it's pretty wild. 34 year old Paolo Lorenzi just beat Gilles Simon in 5 hours to make his first ever 3rd round in a grand slam. at 34! He gets some chump named Andy Murray next.

Dr. Ivo seems like he can serve til he's 50. Nearly 100 aces in 2 matches.

And Fognini is up 2 sets to 1 on Ferrer but it's Fognini.. that might go super late
