If you woke up this morning believing there’s no particular reason to envy moviegoers in Omaha this month, think again!
The Alamo Drafthouse cinema chain has just opened a Star Wars-themed movie theater in the Nebraska city, presumably the country’s first. Among the features: a 10-foot Death Star hanging in the lobby, complete with green superlaser (image above).
It'd kind of be awesome to have that Emperor's chair in my home office and have it motorized.
I could be sitting there when the significant other who stays over once in a while to tell me that dinner is ready (she's a better cook then me, I do the dishes all right) or a show that we plan to watch together is one and I can slowly pivot the chair and growl
"Everything is happening as I have forseen it"

"Your work here is finished, my friend. Go out to the bedroom and await my orders."

I'm waiting until my Dad gets home in January so I can take him to the movie and see it for the first time with him.
He took me and my friends to the original star wars in 1977 on my 10th birthday, and he indulged me two weeks later when I wanted to see it again.
When I was 13 we stood in line to watch the Empire Strikes back.
But when I was 16 and Return of the Jedi came out, we just didn't go and see it, nor did we go and see any of the prequels together, that was my fault, our relationship for a long time wasn't good. And even though it was repaired by the prequels we never made the time to go to the movies together.
My dad is over 80 now, he's still spry and in great shape for his age, but I know that we probably don't have a ton of time left together on this earth, and I thought that this would be a nice and special moment together.
So I can wait to see Star Wars the Force Awakens, as big of a Star Wars fan as I am, I want to share the same surprises and moments by seeing the movie for the first time with him.

But I was saying the same thing about Natalie Portman and she came into the Star Wars universe with a big acting resume and fell flat. A lot of that comes down to the dialogue that was written for her, but you got the sense that in a lot of ways she mailed it in.
Probably the most inspired two choices for the prequel trilogies were Ian McDarmid as Palpatine who was exceptional throughout the trilogy, and the opera house scene was fricken inspired. And Ewan who channeled the ghost of Alec.

It'a all that blue / green screen and piss poor dialog that killed the acting.
I would partially agree with you. The bottom line is if you look at the Star Wars actors its not a common theme, some of them were able to transcend that.
I go back to Ian, who was fabulous in his role as Palpatine throughout the prequel trilogy and in ROTJ. He made the dialogue believable.
Ewan was fantastic in both his dialogue and in terms of the action sequences against the blue screen.
Samuel Jackson did a great job as Mace, and had several key action scenes that he was very good in.
I would even argue that the guy who played Jango Fett was very good, and portrayed a great air of menace.
In the original prequel, Ford and Fisher and Mark put in pretty strong and believable work even though you could tell that some of the dialogue especially for Mark was really clumsy.
