When is Matt Ryan going to lose his nickname, Matty Ice? here is a guy who has shown to be a good QB but fails in the playoffs and throws 5 picks against Arizona.. he probably has the best 2 wide recievers/tight end combo in the league, but what has he really done?
I am not sure that I blame him after watching Mike Smith week after week. has to be hard to perform with that moron running the team.
As good as Atlanta's record is and the fact they could play in a dome all the way to the Super Bowl, I just can't imagine they win anything with Mike Smith as the coach.

Actually I blame the uniforms today. I don't think I've ever seen two teams play each other with uniforms as similar as what the Falcons and Cardinals were wearing today. I'm surprised that got by the officials. I'm not surprised Ryan threw 5 INTs.
Its ####ing laughable how Cam Cameron still has a job in the NFL. A screen pass on 3rd and 13? Serious? I'm sure I could do a way better job than that moron.
Ugh. I could see the Eagles losing every game for the rest of the year and getting a top 2 pick. Too bad both of the top two QBs look like big time busts.
They could draft Manti Te'o, his leadership qualities would be a great addition.

i dont watch the falcons in depth, what do you think is wrong with him as a coach? playcalling?

I'm a huge Falcons fan and have watched all but one of their games this season. I don't think playcalling is an issue.
The issue is a) run defense, b) Matt Ryan being a ##### and never throwing the long ball (even though he has arguably the best receiving tandem in the NFL), c) Michael Turner being a shadow of what he once was, and d) lingering injuries, but players playing through them anyways and not being as effective as they could be.
PVR'd the Saints game so I could watch the Stamps, just finished. Love how the running game is finally back on track, D really looking improved the past couple weeks too. Loving the U of Regina boy Akiem Hicks, really emerging as a force on that DL as a rook.
It didn't seem like it mattered at the time, but the closer the Saints climb to playoff contention, the uglier blowing that 18 point, late 3rd Q lead at home to the Chiefs in week 3 looks. Could end up being the game that costs them a playoff berth in the end.
Just gotta keep rolling, Niners, Falcons & Giants on tap the next 3 weeks. Playoff mode from here to the end.

Nah. I think it's gotta be one of Joeckel or Lewan. If Peters can't come back, you have your new franchise LT. If he does, you put them at RT and move Herremans back to RG.

True, I just feel the Eagles have been missing a leader on defence since they released Dawkins(dumb move) that it is high time time to get one.
Woot! Take those ugly jerseys off the field in shame. Where has this version of the defense been all year? Huge win... and I even get a free steak dinner as a bonus.

I was talking more in seeing him talk in interviews and when they show the locker room.
I haven't seen a ton of Falcon games but I do know he has been criticized for some odd calls in terms of when to or not to go for it and then some dumb plays calls when they did go for it.
I agree that Ryan is too conservative, and Turner is gassed, but I think Smith will be the one holding you back. For lack of a better term, I think he's a dummy.

I concur. One of my favourite things in a season is watching Mike Smith's "angry Popeye" face when he's infuriated with the refs. Gets that chin sticking out, face goes completely purple...you can almost see the steam shooting out of his ears. Dude's gonna have a heart attack out there one of these days.

The only reason the Ravens beat the totally inept Kansas City Chiefs by a measly field goal, was because the Chiefs shot themselves in the foot by fumbling a TD in the endzone. Then having two touchdowns called back because of stupid penalties away from the play. Not to mention numerous other mistakes. I think your right, a team that struggles against a useless team like the Chiefs probably doesn't have much of a chance in the post season.

For the most part, the "Blackout Arrowhead" was a success. The Blackout was mentioned during the game telecast on TV. TSN even mentioned the Blackout during Sports Center this morning.
Asked if he felt the “Blackout,” which Save Our Chiefs hopes will continue next week against Denver and moving forward, was successful, co-founder Eric Grannell didn’t mince words: “Unequivocally. There were not just hundreds, but tens of thousands of people wearing black. Most times it looked like a 50/50 mix.”
I don't see how Pioli can keep his job now. If the Blackout wasn't embarrasment enough for the Hunt family. The hit to the wallet certainly will be. Arrowhead had maybe 45,000 to 50,000 fans in attendance (paid attendance was higher) for a stadoum that holds close to 80,000.
There is also some outrage over the alledged removal of fans from the game for having "Fire Pioli" signs in the stands. At the Save Our Chiefs Facebook page, some fans claim to have seen security escort out fans who had signs. While other fans posted that they had their signs up the whole game right in front of security with no issues.
