If they did, they certainly hid it well or recovered very quickly.

Edit: Wasn't that the knock on Novak early on, his fitness was questioned regarding retiring from matches in the late 2000's.

He still isn't moving great but it's much better. The issue is if that happens early in set 3 does it recur.

I mean the other issue is obviously "you can't just give a set away and expect to beat Novak".

Well as long as Zverev loses I'm fine. And Zverev loses every single time against this version of Novak.

This is the biggest let down to a match that I can remember. At this rate Djokovic is going to win 30+ majors

That was always going to happen once Roger and Rafa's injuries became insurmountable. No one, including Alcaraz, is going to beat Novak consistently enough in slams to stop him hitting 30.

Still mad at Novak for losing that match against Zverev at the Tokyo Olympics.

I was really hoping Alcaraz could get it done on clay, but no dice. This guy is unstoppable.

Part of being a champion and all time great is availability and until Alcaraz can prove his body is up to the task we (I've certainly been guilty) may have to take a step back before anointing him as the next great player. This was a big disappointment but credit Djokovic for doing what champions do and that's take care of business even when he's not at 100%.

20 straight wins in grand slams for Novak and certainly looks poised for 21 on Sunday. That's an incredible accomplishment.

Holy crap. as soon as I saw that I bet Joker to pretty much sweep him and won almost $3k!

Weird the sports sites didn't really alter the odds that much at first as it was going to be difficult for Alcarez to beat him at 100%/

Djokovic just an amazing athlete. This was Djokovic learning Carlitos a lesson. Hopefully Carlitos now understands his body better and doesn't go balls to the wall every point.

Still Djokovic channeling his inner Michael Jordan... Eff them kids.

Ruud is a great clay court player, and about to make his 2nd straight French Open finals appearance after beating quality opponents in Rune and Zverev YET does anyone give him a better than 25% chance to win on Sunday?

He's doing the Lord's work today, but will need to get a Novak voodoo doll to have any chance on Sunday.

Remember a few years ago at the French Open when Goatfin tripped on the tarp at the end of the court and tore up his ankle? Ruud got lucky here.
