So have I, but he has really struggled lately. Maybe he becomes the mop up guy for the rest of the season and we hope he figure things out next year. Some times players just hit the wall like Cecil did when he started and will become a top notch reliever. His stuff is too good not to be in the majors, but what he's doing right now is not working at all.

PSA: There is only one "n" in Drew Hutchison's last name.
OOT wasn't kind to the Jays, especially with the Angels' walk-off victory, coming back from down 3-1. Oh well - after the weekend, they might be just a half game back of the division lead!

I'm hoping stroman can make it back quicker and have him replace drew in the rotation. There was a time when I felt somewhat confident with his starts and wasn't with dickey. That totally flipped..

I'll happily take every other team winning, as long as the Yankees lose.

John Gibbons is on Baseball Central right now (listening to Fan 590) and was asked about Stroman at the end of the interview. Gibby says that he isn't planning on anything with respect to him; Stroman is ahead of the timeline set out by his Doctors which doesn't surprise him; Gibby doesn't know if we should bank on him coming back because if he comes back too soon then he might have a set back and then he'll be dealing with the knee over the winter; even if Stroman does make it back, we have to remember that he has not pitched all year and has not been facing major league batters.
Also says Tulo has no problems leading off and is happy to do whatever is best for the team. May re-evaluate after the season ends.

Managers/coaches always say they don't expect the player back and don't want to risk re-injuring them by rushing them. It is the correct answer.
You can tell by Stroman's comments and excitement that he thinks he will be back sooner than later.

Pretty good article on Sportsnet, going through the roster and depth, and how long they have the rights for each player.
As the article suggests, the Jays should be able to remain a power beyond this season.
If they can find a way to re-sign Price, they could really be something for a while.

Mark Buehrle with a beauty 1st inning, then Donaldson walks, steals 2nd (!!!), and comes home on an EE 2 out double. EE has been playing so well since the ASB.

Buehrle is through 2 innings, throwing 17 pitches. That is not a typo.

Buehrle's pitch count is up to 32 after he 'struggled' through the 3rd inning.
As for a series thread, I'd be happy to assuming no one objects I don't know about becoming the HD of these things, I'm just hoping to not embarrass myself (more than I usually do).

I love watching Buehrle work, just amazing when you know his fast ball tops out at 85.
But man, this lineup is crazy good. Goins had been great since replacing Travis.

Josh Donaldson extends his hitting streak against the Twins with an RBI single on a 3-0 pitch. JD = owns the Twins.
