I'm very happy the Elks won tonight. I didn't want the Stamps to be the team that they ended the streak against.

I was beating my head trying to remember our defensive coordinator when Rich was in Toronto. Denny Creehan.

Both us and Toronto ran that 3-4 defence I remember that being one of the few good hires that Dunnigan made. A dominant few years with John Grace and George White.

That sucks, but not unexpected given Lawrence is there and the backup for some reason was guaranteed the #2 spot from the start of training camp. Rourke flashed pretty well in preseason, I wonder if another team will pick him up after final cuts tomorrow.

It’s great for the CFL maybe give me a reason to watch after how uneventful this season has been league wide

Rourke acquitted himself well. No doubt teams will be interested, but teams that have drafted their own guys will need to evaluate what they have versus what’s available… hope he catches on somewhere and has an opportunity to continue his development.

If Rourke doesn't get another opportunity down there, Dickenson should have been on the phone yesterday telling him they will open up the pocket books for him.

Based on the tweet below, the Cardinals would be fools not to put in a claim...

The Cardinals would take Taylor Cornelius and Jake Maier before they would touch a compotent qb.

It's a tough spot for Rourke because a lot of teams just drafted Qb's this past year. I thought he should have played one more year in the CFL mostly because he doesn't have a lot of playing experience. Hopefully he gets a chance somewhere else.

I thought Cincinnati would claim him off waivers given how their 2 backups have struggled this preaseason. But I guess not.

So I was about to go buy my annual Labour Day tickets (8 seats) when I discovered the game is starting at 5:00 this year? Who the hell came up with that idea? 5:00 start on a Monday when all the kids head back to school the following day? Are they crazy? Labour Day is always in the afternoon. I have probably attended over 30 LD games in my life and we always go down for breakfast, walk around the tailgate parties, and go in for the game either around 1:00 or 2:00.

Our group decided to back out this year because we were planning to bring kids and it will end too late for them. What a joke this franchise and league is sometimes. Judging by ticketmaster this will be the worst attended LD game in probably decades. Such a shame they had to go and mess with tradition. I hope they have a small crowd and a message is sent to revert the game back to the afternoon next year. End rant.

5:00 MST has been the weekend start time all season regardless of the market. I'm assuming it has something to do with TSN for ratings.

They did the same thing for Riders Bombers. I’m assuming TSN has other programming they want on instead (tennis?).

Been playing Labour Day games at 2pm for like 30 years and now all of a sudden we need to change it.

Idiotic by TSN and the league.

2:30.

More eyeballs on the TV with the later start time....hardly idiotic but most definitely annoying for those wanting to attend.
