Yeah Raiders and Eagles are getting screwed here. The Raiders players were just getting on the bus to leave to the airport to play a game tomorrow and now they have to take their bags home and reset for Monday. Raiders players are understandably upset.

Not sure vaccine status is the factor here though.

Look at the Flames - 100% vaccinated and it still tore through the roster. Symptoms have been minor but doesn't change that the players are testing positive.

If these teams are in the middle of an outbreak you don't really have a choice but to re-schedule.

Yeah but the league is waffling on their rules that they would not postpone games. Leaving it up to the last day before the game (Raiders case) is garbage. It's not like the league didn't know the Browns were having positive tests all week.

Maybe, but the WFT was very notably having issues getting its players vaccinated this summer; so when one of those high-profile unvaccinated players is one of the infected, it's hard not to be a little bit pissed when the Eagles hit the 100% mark and have been hyper-vigilant about protocols.

That’s fair - they should have had more notice.

But really I’m not sure how they thought not postponing games would be an option, and even if that was the plan Omnicron has changed things.

What are you supposed to do when 20+ players and 12+ starters are all testing positive, including those that were vaccinated.

You can’t play that game, so it’s either postpone or the team with the outbreak has to forfeit (which probably should have been the rule as teams would have been more strict with protocol, but too much money at risk for them to ever do that)

That Broncos game last year with the "QB" was god awful to watch. With multiple teams having issues I get it but it does screw the teams who weren't the ones having the issues.

With next week being a "Holiday" week, I suspect the League will be happy to push a few games back a day or two next week so that teams have at least 5 off days. Could be a few Monday games next week.
