Yeesh. Some awful takes by me last night. Damn those delicious Establishment beers. My bad dudes.

Anywho.

Vladdy's numbers are getting better by the second. And Ray's pants are getting tighter by that same second.

I think he thought the umpire pointed fair ball. The ump pointed towards the field when it was caught.

I must have missed the memo that Brandon Lowe and his .207 BA needs to be intentionally walked every single AB.

Rays ####balling their way to more victories and Montoyo continually putting base runners on base for them to drive in.

Lowe is a pretty great player despite his slow start this year. I don’t see the issue with walking him when there is a runner on second to set up the double play. Maybe complain more about the Jays bats being cold today? Ray certainly pitched well enough for us to win this one.

Why is Tellez taking any pitches even on a 3-0? He doesn’t have. A great eye, when you get a pitch straight down the centre you should be ready to swing. Dumb.

Is he though? He was an "all-star" in the shortened season last year and arguably their coldest hitter in their world series run. He's been crap this year. And all logic should go out the window when playing the Rays as that's how they get you. That is the 3rd IB issued to Lowe this series where the next guy has gotten a hit. At some point you just got to pitch to the guy. He's not Trout.

The Jays bats putting up 1 run is an issue but if you're going to compete you need to find a way to win these 1 run games against the Rays. Plain and simple.

Edit. Correction he was an "all-star" in 2019 before despite only playing 82 games.

Under no circumstances can they start next season with Jansen. The guy is the definition of inconsistent.

Yup, with about three rookie SPs coming to the majors in the next year and a half, may as well upgrade the catcher position. Would have been something else if they got Realmuto this past season. I don’t know if there’s anyone else this summer but I’d like a redo.

A sneaky 4 game losing streak all of a sudden. Bummer.

I seriously hate everything about the Rays. A bunch of misfits who are individually terrible at the game of baseball who just ####ball their way to victories. Their pitchers never walk anyone. They create chaos on the bases. They inexplicably are the most clutch ball team who cant not drive in runs when they need it. Its the weirdest thing.

I love everything the Rays have done as a budget team. It's really cool.

It would be way cooler if they didn't own the Jays.

Oh for sure, it sucks as a team that's already in a division with the Yankees and Red Sox to also have to contend with "we won't spend any money, but watch what we can do!!", but I just mean I love that they toss the old spending league on it's head in various ways.

Well, this has been a fun week so far.

Starts off with the Jays clobbering the Red So 8-0 and pulling within a half game of 1st, then 4 straight losses while the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays just keeping piling on the wins.

Yanks have won 5 in a row
Rays have won 9 in a row
Red Sox are about to win 4 in a row

Gross

Randal! 2 run shot, 4-2 Jays in the 8th. Nice timing!
