Well. Fangraphs have the Jay's at 90% to make the playoffs. They are closer to the teams ahead of them then the ones behind. They are still missing Bo, Giles, Romano, and now Hernandez. All slated to return in the next 2 weeks. So IMHO you can, and definitely should. But I also question as to why it was ever put away? Those suckers are beautiful!

Hopefully Tellez is only out for a bit, but if he is out longer, having Smoak around isn't the worst. He instantly improves the defense of the rest of the infield with his ability to pick it at 1st. He also would be a great mentor for Vladdy at 1st.
Probably should just call up McKinney, he can play the OF and 1B, give him another look. Shaw can also play 1B, which would allow Panik to get more AB's at 3B.

Yeah, that's right I forgot about Shaw at 1B, and with the way Panik is swinging the bat they will want to keep him in the line up as well so what you say here makes a ton of sense.

If Tellez goes on IL, the Jays won't be signing anyone. What they will do is use that roster spot for Bo, rather than optioning someone.
I suspect someone will get a call-up for a few days, then when Bo is activated that person will be sent down. When Gillies is activated someone will have to be DFA'd
