Oh man, Roger breaks Thiem to get back on serve and then Thiem breaks right back. Thiem serving for the match at 5-4 in set 3.

Thiem wins 3-6 7-6(11) 6-4. Now holds a 4-2 head-to-head match lead over Roger.

Great matches on court in Madrid today!
Pretty bad draws for Denis and Felix in Rome drawing Carreno Busta and Coric as their first round opponents. No Milos either, so I'm guessing we don't see the big man until grass season at this rate.

Yup, and Bianca is also not playing Rome to rest up for the French Open (she is continuing her rehab at Rafa's academy).

Nadal with an absolute clinic today winning 6-1,6-2 by far his best clay court match of the season. They also just said this will be his 70th Masters 1000 semifinal an incredible number.

Holy moly, I wonder if Stan had late dinner reservations, Rafa wins 6-1 6-2 and is into his 70th Masters 1000 semi-final. Tsitsipas his opponent tomorrow in contrast is into his 2nd. The other semi-final should be a cracker as Joker takes on Thiem.

I'm taking Joker over Thiem mainly because he benefits from the walkover over Cilic and I have a feeling Dominic will be a little tired from today's match win over Roger. I agree with the Rafa pick over GY.

In Canadian tennis results, Rebecca Marino lost in the semi-finals of a ITF event in Japan, but raised her live ranking to #177. Also, Gaby Dabrowski and Xu Yifan lost in the Madrid women's doubles final, but a very good week for the duo.

Tsitispas serving for the first set at 5-4 as he has broken Rafa three times in this opening set.
Edit: Greek Yogourt takes the opening set 6-4

That was a nervous service game from Stefanos and Nadal gets one of those breaks back.

Tsitsipas does it! Breaking the king of clay to take the match is pretty pretty pretty good.
