Alex Ferguson: The knock-outs, the rows and the retribution
Being floored by one of his own players, angrily criticising his team just minutes after completing a cup double and 'taking out' a defender in retribution are not the typical Sir Alex Ferguson anecdotes.
Just to give Spurs fans and the tinfoil conspiracy theorists some hope.
Mike Dean will take charge of Sunderland v Southhampton at 1500 on Sunday, then Arsenal v Wigan just over 48 hours later on Tuesday.
This is the first time a referee has refereed two games in the same set of 10. It is also normal to give them at least 72 hours between games with CL and EL refs getting Sunday and Monday games.
It'll be interesting to see how people react to Zaha in Manchester next season. He's talented, no doubt but has an awful habit of going down easily and has earned his well-deserved reputation as a flopper. Right now, today, I have a hard time seeing how he's worth £15.
I remember the Bradford disaster well. How terribly sad. I also find it interesting that no one in Bradford or associated with the club have talked themselves into victimhood, which has been know to happen in instances like this.
And so another day of celebrations begins. Nice that the noisy neighbours will be quiet for it and inadvertently add to it. And ..... another would be challenger manager seen on his way.
I think this pic sums up perfectly what SAF had done to rival fans for the last 27 years.
usually I'm not a sentimental guy at all, but today's game and everything around it was tough to watch to be honest ... might even have shed a tear or two
Thanks Sir Alex, and thanks Paul too!

IMO he wasn't treated that greatly. He wasn't in his normal forward role, for a good portion and often saw the bench early or entirely.
In our biggest game against Real, he started on the sidelines. I think his ego has been bruised, and he wants to feel wanted again -- especially in his prime, as a starter.
I saw tons of footage of Fergie getting frustrated with him --- but some of this befalls him too.
Moyes may be able to come in with the Olive branch, and use him properly again, but then we visit the same ol'' we have FOUR world class strikers.. arguably a fifth as Young can play there too.
We have a logjam on the wings. Zaha, Valencia, Nani, Young..
Does Rooney split the CM role with Cleverly, Kagawa and Carrick?
If his decision is no, someone has to go and perhaps he's taken it upon himself to be that odd man out.
