Felix regroups and plays a fine tie-break to defeat Lloyd Harris 6-3 7-6.

Stuttgart was clay for nearly 100 years, and realized that was dumm.

If you want to see what nerves does to a tennis player watch this Women's semi final. Both players were holding serve at +80% and in 9 games I think we have had 6 breaks or something like that.

I don't have a issue with clay tennis (I have actually played on red clay in Germany and enjoyed it), my issue is how organizers of the French Open have run the tourney the last couple of years (first by scheduling the tourney that wiped out the Laver Cup in 2020 and this year by pushing it back a week so that it is colliding at the same time as the Stuttgart tourney). The way they treated Naomi was just dreadful as well.

Shapo and Lopez need a 3rd set as the Spaniard takes set 2 in a tie-break.

Nothing like hearing 'Sweet Home Alabama' during a rain delay at a tournament in Stuttgart, Germany.

7-7 as Sakkari has saved three match points (and Maria had a match point earlier).

Oh man, not sure if that is the correct call by the umpire. Hawk-Eye says it was out.

Goddamn right it is. A combined 57 winners and 109 UFE's? Clay tennis, catch the excitement!

I know, it's terrible as actual tennis, but can be entertaining.

The best part. It wasn't decided on a stupid tiebreaker.

Pavlyuchenkova vs. Krejcikova...set your alarms people, ain't no sleeping in Saturday morning. NBC crew, take your depression medication and let's go. this is the Women's final that the French Open deserves.

Krejcikova looks like she's 12 so I decided to check and it appears she's actually 25....

Heh. Actually I think Europe is fairly happy with this final.

I mean the EURO's start Saturday so it was gonna be hard to get Europeans to care even if it was a top matchup, and it's not, so....
