At the same time though...before I'd really comment I'd need to really know what Kennedy's goals are.
I thought the new Trilogy was awful. Not 'Prequels Awful' but not far off.
However....they made bank. Lots and lots of it.
Kennedy isnt the Director of these shows or anything, my understanding is that her job is to make money. She appears to have done that.
Now...could one make the case that if her new Trilogy hadnt sucked out loud that she potentially could have made even more money? I think you could say that fairly, but its still conjecture.
All KK did was burn off all the good will the brand had. The last trilogy had diminishing returns with each movie to the point where making a new film profitable would be challenging. Star Wars disneyland is losing tons of money. The toys aren't selling outside of baby yoda. KK's bungling of Star Wars plus Disneys bungling of Marvel are probably the biggest contributors to disneys plummeting stock value and billions in upcoming cuts.
The success of Mando was in spite of her and her numerous attempts to hijack the shows intended storyline (booting off Gina, bringing Baby Yoda back, there's a lot of rumours that Favreau hates KK).
I don't know how a star wars fan can have anything but hatred and contempt for what KK has done to the brand.
I feel there will be a Crosshair redemption story with him ultimately saving Omega and getting her out of there.
I hope Cid gets hers.
I expect because Filoni takes a lot of risks that Crosshair won't get a good ending.
Spoiler!
They're clearly experimenting on him and the other Clones. They can't clone them because of genetic drift with clones. Its why during the Clone Wars series they were worried about the loss of the original Fett DNA.
In the Legends (yeah yeah) some clones as they aged suffered an awful fate, and were turned into the Cyborg Phase 0 Dark troopers. But the experiment failed due to high suicide rates as the Clones couldn't handle becoming the machines that they've killed.
We've already seen that the Empire did a Dark Trooper program with pure droids that came from the original experiments on creating cyborg soldiers.
I expect that, Crosshairs is going to be unit 1. Maybe he still helps as a Dark Trooper.
But there's a reason why we saw three Clones, Rex, Gregor and Wolfe by themselves.
Maybe Hunter gets Omega back and he and wrecker and Echo side step the whole thing.
But my sense is that Dave isn't done killing Clones yet. That we're going to have a Clone rebellion, and Crosshair is going to be a truly tragic figure.
Really enjoyed the latter half of the season. Some real juicy stuff happening and now I am finding myself wanting more. Even more so than the Mandalorian season 3, unfortunately.
Omega captured, Crosshair pretty much in a coma, Tech dead. The rest of the batch having no idea where Omega is.
Yup season finale.
That was a strange ending, aside from that I thought Disney+ would add a “season finale added” banner, it seemed more like a penultimate episode than a finale.
it kinda looks like that gang that made rebels was sitting around one day and then filoni pipes up...
i wonder how much "rebels" knowledge will be needed to 'get' this show? i loved rebels and have watched the entire run of shows a few times - probably one of my favourite star wars animated series.

Looks like they are building up to the next set of movies by adapting the Heir to the Empire books? I'm guessing the white beard dude is the Clone of C'baoth and red hair girl is Mara Jade. Looks great!
