They seem pretty confident that they'll win no matter what. And after the last election I don't really blame that mindset, I don't know if there even is a red line that they can cross that causes them to lose support, much like the MAGAs down south

So they are going to delay this a few more months and do an alternate alignment. From his chatter, it sure sounds like they are consulting with that group from a few years ago that claimed tunnels were bad. They also want it to get allllll the way down to the south health campus, which tells me they are going to try to hold on to votes down there. The biggest issue they claim is flimsy ridership numbers. Well, if that's the issue...

Zero talk of north central. To me, the smartest thing at this point would be to scrap the south, build the north with an airport spur at 96th and end it at Eau Claire. You want ridership numbers? That's where people are. But too many NDP voters, I suspect.

If you watched city exec speak to council today, it was made quite clear that there's basically no way to succeed with the proposed alignment by the province. Technical discussions ruled all of that out years ago as a viable solution.

It’s pretty clear it was political. But there’s no way the green line in the latest iteration should have been built. At this point it just seemed to build something for the sake of building something.

Dreeshan sounded like the amateur he is. It's not political but mentions Singh, Trudeau and Nenshi. Blames it all on Nenshi who he makes sure to mention is the current Alberta NDP Leader. But, it's not Political. The Punk Government. The worst Canadian Provincial Government in history.

It's also because there's no plans for it, I haven't seen any evidence of any work done on the NC alignment or any land purchases since they effectively canceled it in 2017. There's just too many SE LRT supporters in the planning team.

And probably nobody wants to touch the Bow River crossing either anymore.

Crossing the Bow above ground is a lot easier than crossing DT under it. But ya, too many obstacles at this point. Maybe I'll just go back to blaming Sean Chu, it's been awhile. How is that worthless abuser doing these days, anyway?

The best part was him criticizing Nenshi for putting forward an ambitious, uncosted plan (fair), then turning around and saying they will design a new alignment, go all the way south for the $6B and have shovels in the ground in January. Much more realistic...
