Jays catching fire and looking good. I’m in Toronto right now on a trip and went to the Jays store. They sell dirt.

I’m not kidding. Bottled Jays dirt. It’s $30. It’s allegedly authentic.

I don’t know if anyone’s looked at Roger Clemens’ baseball reference page roundabout the same time as Alek Manoah’s, but…

Alek Manoah is a young Roger Clemens.

Look it up.

Eesh. Tough start from Yusei. Definitely had absolutely zero feel for his pitches.

Lol

4 walks in one inning.

Guy starts and only gets two outs

That's pathetic. Here I thought he'd maybe turned a corner.

Vs the worst team in the AL too

I'm ashamed to say I didn't know Kansas City-style BBQ is a thing and even has a Wikipedia page.

Yeah that was predictable.... still time to rally, but this is the type of game you look back on with regret later in the year when things are close. Need to sweep the bad teams when you get the chance.

Yeah can't help but feel a little bummed not being able to sweep KC. Some bad luck and brainfarts factoring into today's loss. Really tough to see Vladdy struggle the way he is. A lot of soft contact to the right side.

And you know that barring a disaster, he isn’t going back down.

Meaning when Jansen comes back, something gives. Kirk has really boosted that trade value (as has Jansen)

Will be fun situation to watch.

The bats have come alive recently, but that starting rotation is a mess. Who would have thought the situation would get this bad? Before the season started, most people had the Jays penciled in as having one of the best starting rotations in MLB...
