Tennis players don't enter a tournament based on country, they get in on their ranking and are independent. The country flag beside their name is just for convenience. Also tournaments don't have country quotas so why does it matter? It's British arrogance.
And Vika for example has a US passport. What's stopping her from entering on that?
Medvedev and Rublev are better off not going and tuning up for the Fall Swing.

Honestly this affects Khachanov most, he had a tremendous Wimbledon last year, his match against Shapo was so good. Total misstep for Wimbledon.

That'll show Putin! Should really make him think twice about killing all those innocent people.

By the way, Djoker got a real scare from countryman Laslo Djere earlier today in Belgrade and barely survived 2-6 7-6 7-6

FAA is lucky he got his match in. They're trying to finish the matches tonight but keep going on and off. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow.

Weird match in Stuttgart, Sabalanka won the opening set 6-1, but Bianca is up a double break and is serving at 4-0 in set 2.

Andreescu fighting back in second set after dropping first 6-1 to Sabalenka. I do not expect her to win this one but it is really great to see that fight again.
Go Bianca!

Bianca takes set 2 6-3 and we need a 3rd set to determine the winner of this match.

Bianca currently down a break in set 3 and Djokovic loses the first set in Belgrade to countryman Kecmanovic.

Darn it, Bianca had some break points to get back on serve, but couldn't cash in and is now serving at 2-5 in set 3. Still, this is a very good showing from her win or lose.

Sabalenka wins 6-1 4-6 6-2. Great to see Bianca back on the court and playing some fine tennis, just ran out of gas in set 3 and credit to Sabalenka, she found a higher level.

Meanwhile in Barcelona, the rain in Spain is causing tourney organizers pain. I doubt we see any tennis today.

The rain has subsided enough for Greek Yogurt and Ilya Ivashka to resume their match that was suspended on Wednesday.
Edit: Ivashka takes set 2 and forces a deciding set.
Edit 2: Greek Yogurt prevails and will play Dimitrov on Friday and that concludes play for today.

Suffice it to say there is going to be a ton of tennis played in Barcelona on Friday - If Felix can get by Tiafoe, he'll take on either Schwartzman or Musetti...

Felix with a nice win over Frances Tiafoe 7-5 6-4 and will next take on Diego Schwartzman later this morning.
Edit: Reading that Felix was down 0-3 in set 2 before winning six of the next 7 games.
