First one I recall was probably Fast Times At Ridgemont High. Then as a pool hustler in Color of Money.

Watched 'King of Staten Island' and I had no expectations but it really was hilairous. Maybe its because I'm a big Bill Burr fan and I loved seeing a raging angry Burr throughout.
Knives Out is another I just saw, thought it was great as well. Daniel Craig as the 'CSI-KFC' character was awesome. Well done, and great cast.
C$ckblockers, I just happened to watch on Netflix, this was funnier than King of Staten Island. There are some really well done comedy scenes in this one.

The invisible man was terribad. I have no idea how this got good reviews. The invisibility part of the plot is literally the most believable part of this turd. Elizabeth Moss' character may be one of the dumbest people ever put to film.

They’re all on Shudder if you can order it. Think they’re still doing a free 30 day trial with SHUTIN. I should have stock or shout them out in a podcast for how often I suggest that service.

Woof. I wouldn’t do it. There must be better choices when your high.
We watched the Beastie Boys (doc?) last night while high. Don’t do it. Not at all what we hoped. Kind of boring.

Hell, watch Spirited Away while high. I'm sure that'd be way more enjoyable.

Dr. Sleep showed up. That was unfortunately pretty boring and uninspired. Using actors to replace Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Scatman Crothers was a mistake, they should have just left those characters out.

Funny, I had the opposite reaction. I thought that movie was very enjoyable throughout and a terrific companion to the original. Ewan McGregor was excellent as the grown up Danny Torrance, and the incredibly detailed recreation of the Overlook Hotel was really impressive.
The look-alike actors were similar enough to the original characters, and their scenes were so brief that it didn't take me out of the story at all. I thought Henry Thomas in particular underplayed the Jack/bartender role and didn't try to mimic Nicholson, which helped. The scene between him and Danny in the ballroom was really well done.

I found The Shining references to be a bit too over the top, and seemed to be played for fan service rather than moving the story along. Overall it felt a lot more like a Marvel X-Men movie meets Sixth Sense than a sequel to something like The Shining. I do get that it pretty closely based on King's hastily written sequel to it, so I guess my criticism is more to King's writing here than anything else. It just kind of plodded along, predictably and without much sense of danger to the characters.

Was King’s sequel hastily written? I read the book, haven’t seen the movie and didn't think it was one of his better efforts. But he had what 40 years to think of his ideas for a sequel?
