I like all the changes. Great mix between traditions and innovation. Well done.

Overall, gross changes with the goalposts and field size changing, but I've momentarily stopped sharpening my pitchfork.
Shortening the endzones is going to make it tougher to score TD's, but as mentioned it's still larger that the NFL endzone. I went into this announcement quite anxious about the changes, but it's not nearly as bad as I feared.

I'll agree with that, it could have been much worse. The shortening the endzones is the one I like the least, but I suppose if you're moving the goalposts back you almost have to do it. It does make me feel like 4 downs is the eventual end game in the next 5-10 years.

Curious to see where a kickoff will be now.

I don’t hate these changes.

What about end zone seats? They just got worse though.

I think if you're shortening the field, kick-offs can remain at the 30 yard line, but I wonder if they need to tweak the rule about taking the ball at the 40 yard line after a successful FG. I guess they're addressing that by moving the goalposts to the back of the endzone, but it still seems like a really short field to me to get into FG range.

I'm very curious to see how this trickles down to USports/CJFL as there are multiple stadiums that host multiple leagues.

Pretty significant changes. I would have liked to see the rouge eliminated but this is progress. Moving the goalposts is a move the league should have done a long time ago as while it doesn't happen every game, we have seen several times would be TD passes incomplete because of hitting the upright as well we have seen the odd player collide with the post. As for shortening the field, it's definitely going to result in more overall points scored but with the moving of the goalposts will mean teams will have to drive deeper for makeable FG's.

I'm not so worried about the play clock thing because, as it stands now, when the ref hasn't blown in the 20-second play clock, the actual game clock is still moving. So, by keeping it consistent and keeping that 35-second, keeping it going, this may not be a big deal.

Opening up the end zone with no posts I feel like offsets the shorter end zone. There is so much more usable field now.

The rouge must stay. It doesn’t reward failure. It’s a reward for moving the ball close enough to kick that point.

50 yard FG's are pretty routine these days. When you consider teams scrimmage from the 40 yard line after a FG it's a pretty good reward for moving 30 yards. These changes do kind of pave the way for implementing 4 downs which is something I think still may happen in the coming years.

These changes don't bother me too much, v won't reiterate what most have said here and I do agree that moving the goalposts back is long overdue. The only issue I have is shortening the field to 100 yards.

With the goalposts moving back 15 yards, shortening the field makes a bit of sense as it cancels out 10/15 extra yards teams would have to move the ball to get into FG position.

The one downside to moving the goalposts to the back of the endzone is unless a FG is short (which obviously could still happen), the missed FG return is a very exciting play in the CFL that will likely not be seen nearly as often.

I like all those rule changes. I guess Doug Flutie's records will never be touched again.
