By the way, Frank de Boer quit as Ajax coach today. If I was in charge of Everton, I'd be all over that.

Couldnt agree more. Moyes did well with what he had at Everton and it seemed that Everton were perfectly pleased to be that. They just were never going to take that next step so they went out and got Martinez and it just never panned out.

According to the Telegraph, United are prepared to meet Ibrahimovics crazy wage demands and are now favourites to sign him.

Because Under Armour isn't paying all that money to not get into the photo ops.

that was always the rumor. Ibra would play at Man U for 2 years as practice for real football with Miami in MLS.

Why would you pay his insane wage demands on a team thats actually trying to compete?

It's a weird one for me too - especially with the young talent like Rashford and Martial on the squad.
Build for the future alongside those two young players - don't add a soon to be 35 year old with a huge ego to your young striker group.

you have to factor in the lack of a transfer fee in to the wages
I think it would be a good signing, Martial can play wide anyway, Rooney seems content to drop deeper to midfield now
Rashford has been a great start but I dont think you can go in to next season with him as your 'lead' striker, you have him behind Ibra he's still going to get in a ton of games either when Ibra needs rest, as a sub, or when they go 2 up front

Yes, but his wage demands are insane. In conjunction with no transfer fee you also have to consider the wage structure and his actual value.
On the flip side though, United signing Ibra might make Rooney crazy enough to head to China.

Ibra can probably get a million a week after tax in the Chinese Super League if he wishes to go there.

I'm not even going to debate that United need another striker, everybody knows that. Martial seems to be better suited to play on the outside and Rashford is still very young. Those two are great building blocks for the future, but you can't expect them to carry Uniteds offense week in, week out.
but an almost 35-year-old on astronomical wages and with the biggest ego in world sports? No thanks. Ibrahimovic was a fantastic striker in his prime and he's still pretty good, but really ... no thanks.
he should rather sign in China or the US ... heck, he can even take Rooney with him for all I care.
