I am telling you, it cannot be done without tools.
I witnessed excessive force, I saw people try and angle the cap, try a screwing motion, I even experienced people smashing them against the table all to no avail.
Wherever this company spent their manufacturing budget it was clearly the pen-caps because those bastards could take a serious beating and no matter what that cap was not going over the back of the pen.
It was just not happening.
And it drove people INSANE.
I also learned a lot about my own humanity, not that it wasnt something I didnt know already though, but that is that I am not good at restraining my amusement and laughter at other people's struggles.
I even...I had these clients who brought their very young, particularly rambunctious daughter with them and she would not settle down, so I gave her a pen and said that if she could get the cap onto the back of the pen I'd let her play my Star Wars ATARI game.
she settled into the couch to attack her task and her parents looked at me quizzically and I simply re-assured them:
"Dont worry...it cant be done. She can play Star Wars ATARI anytime she wants, but she will never, ever, get that cap onto the back of that pen."
Like I said, it was a wild time to be alive.

I wonder if that was a CP member I saw this morning in a black hatchback with a flames-centric license plate on the Burlington Skyway at 930 heading toward Niagara.

Sometimes a penis is just a penis unless it is a pen.

Speaking of, is there any more disgusting feeling (mentally and physically) than when your penis touches the toilet in a public washroom when you sit down for a #2?
Extreme yuck.

And you're not emptying that pen in a month. They're jamming often and failing within the month. That's why I'm saying it's like borderline running off with garbage. I constantly buy cheap pens and put freebie pens I get from conferences for clients to use/steal. I've seen the real world usage numbers on those things and they're pretty meh. I've tested a ton of pens. Pens I hate, I leave out for clients to use/steal after a while. Good stuff I kept for my own or other colleague's use. I write a lot too and I don't like looking like a knob checking through half a dozen pens to find a working one.
You can buy a box of 12 Bic Cristals for less than $3 that are better than freebie pens. Same for Papermate PMOP at around $0.40-0.60, Onyx at $0.75 and a few others in the <$1.00 range. I know this because I got sick and tired of pens that failed at the most inopportune times or blew up and leaked everywhere. I and a few others legitimately use up all the ink in our pens. The Onyx are good, but last only about 45-90 days before being used up. The closest to that look are the Pilot HiTech point which has a tendency to explode. Papermate PMOP last longest of that style of pen, but BIC Cristal are at a price point that better factors in theft of cheap pens. I find many papermate and pentels can get close to the end of the ink before failing. But those typically take like 1-3 years of near daily use to reach that point. We've done this a lot with the RSVPs.
Lots of freebies don't work out of the box and the ball nib fails or clogs soon after it is used/if it's rarely used. Most of the pen inserts still have a ton of ink left afterwards because the ball gets stuck and ink stops moving... unless someone is a pen sucker. I've met one before. Clean as F pen inserts and I bet he might get stomach cancer from all the ink he's ingesting.
The only thing worse I've ever seen to freebie pens is the Papermate Eagle. Those are complete trash that flex like a wet noodle in your hand. I don't think plastic straws flexed as much as these pens did.

So, I went straight-piped, & removed the Cat off my Bonneville and brought it to Recon metal.
They offered me $5 for it! What am I missing here? Where do the criminals take theirs?

Obviously Recon Metals are the criminals.

It was kind of a funny story. I went to Regina to watch the stamps, playing the riders before Covid hit. I missed my original flight, because my drivers license had expired without knowing that it expired, so I missed the flight while my pals carried on. My wife eventually brought my passport to the airport (love that woman), so I was able to grab a later flight. By the time I arrived in Regina and got to the pub, I really had to take number two. I did the usual, check down that guys do, make sure the toilets not backed up, make sure there’s ample toilet paper, etc. apparently, the toilet was holding more water than usual so I soon as I sat down my junk hit the water. What a disgusting feeling. Fortunately, nobody else was in the bathroom so I gave it a quick rinse at the sink. I hate public bathrooms.
