Chucky's interview was also great. You can see how he's really matured.
The reporters tried to goad him into answering questions and he just straight-up shut them down.

In fairness, all of the Florida interviews were great. Maurice, Chucky, Ekblad, etc...they've got that dead-eye stare. They are on a mission.

Not sure if FATA yet, but here's the stick on the puck outside the blue line...no POGDOG penalty for that.

I think we can all agree though, that as distasteful as it is having the Oilers in the SCF...that win was damned satisfying.
Now. Two more.

Maybe we should nickname him Buffalo Bill.
Just to rub it in.

But with respect to Barkov, very succinct. Grim. Calm demeanour, but seems to me behind that calm demeanour he was furious.
They asked him a few times. Paraphrasing,
“Any update on Sasha”
“No”
“Should the league be looking at (the elbow)”
“The league looks at every hit”
“If it wasn’t a 3-1 or 4-1 game, could Barkov have returned”
“It was 2-1 with 9:28 left. I’m not holding him”
“You don’t seem to be (giving a response to the Draisaitl elbow). What are your feelings on the Draisaitl hit”
“This isn’t the Oprah Winfrey show. My feelings don’t matter”
I suspect broken jaw. I wonder how the league will reconcile Barkov either missing games or showing up wearing a fishbowl, but them not suspending that dirtbag
|
It was a really bad hit on Barkov. He doesn't dive or fake it, straight up elbow to the face. I wonder how canadian fans would react if that elbow hits McDavid's jaw.

Well I for one would be leaping out of my seat and cheering like a crazy person.
