They're pretty locked in at C for the forseeable Future. Koivu, Coyle, Granlund, Haula, Stoll.

NYR-CAR talks on Eric Staal intensifying. Staal scheduled to play at 3 pm ET but there could be deal before then. No guarantees. We'll see.
Adding the elder Staal would be a big move for NYR. I could see Buchnevich go to Carolina in this instance. That'd be a boon for the Canes.

Tampa Bay a team I'm watching closely today. Sounds like they're active.

Thought Coyle was playing w. Stoll done at seasons end. They were in on johansen so they have identified c as a need. Nuge could be number one compared to what they have.
Eberle or hall could be of interest if they think c is set. Wonder if chia can pull this off before deadline or after.

The Rangers have given up their 1st rounders in the last 3 years. So I can understand their reluctance is doing so again.

If CAR and NYR complete a trade for Eric Staal, I would have to think CAR retains salary, possibly to the max of 50 per cent.

Yeah, but TBL have other things they can sweeten the deal with.

#FlaPanthers still pushing hard to move RFA F Brandon Pirri. Nothing close at the moment. Will take a player or a pick for him.

gary lawless @garylawless
sounds like @FlaPanthers might not be done. Western Conference team has offered them a pick for F Brandon Pirri.

Wonder if Treliving and our scouts have any interest in Pirri. Goal scoring winger. Not sure he has the all around game they like though.

I really think he'd be the new whipping boy for Calgary fans.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
If Calgary had interest in Pirri could they have not done that deal within the Hudler trade?

No kidding. We don't need another streaky scorer.
