For some reason Darryl made me laugh when he showed up in that scene.

And yes I realize there's a thread for the comic book. If I mention the TV show in the comic book thread, will I be accosted as well?
Fact is Tyrese is badass and a fan favourite in the comic. The only comparable in the TV show is Darryl, who also happens to be a fan favourite.

Talk about characters and story lines that have only appeared or happened in the tv show. Pretty simple set of rules. Anything beyond that is spoilers.

Hate to be unpopular, but I for one was sad to see Laurie go. I was hoping she would pull through.
Andrea on the other hand...

well we can compare stuff that has already happened in both then, as in the Lori death was far darker in the series than the comic. i was quite shocked at that scene, i really thought the TV show would go in a different direction with Lori's character. made for a powerful episode though, and the actor playing Carl has got some pretty damn good chops

The way Carl walked past Maggie after shooting his mom in the head was pretty boss I thought.

I suspect Rick's crying scene will be used in many youtube funny mash-up videos; it was that good; just brilliant acting!

I thought even Lori's death was stupid. She was in labour for like what 6 hours tops, and she says she is not going to make it due to some blood. And really thats all great and such that you are sacrificing your life for your child, but what in the heck are they going to feed the baby, Steak and eggs? I doubt there is much formula out there that is still good to it to drink. Gahh stupid until the end she is.
T-dogs death made me far more upset.

One thing though, C-section is pretty easy if you don't have to save the mother!

Awesome episode! even more awesome now that Lori is gone.
hmmm i didn't think women died that quickly after a c section.
Now all we need is Andrea to die a quick death, which is too bad. They totally miscast-ed that role.

She may not have had to have the c section though. 6 hours is not a long time to be in labour, hell I was in labour for 40 hours with my oldest son(ending in a c section). And was in labour with my middle child for 12 hours before needing the c section I got. I am quite happy Lori is gone to be honest, now the writers need to take Andrea out

Well she was going to die no matter what. Might as well save the kid and then send darryl and glen on milk runs.

I doubt Lori is gone.
One thing is certain about this series - if you don't see it, don't believe it happened.

Clearly, you must be joking right? In the way they filmed it, and the serious tone of the series there is absolutely no way she is still alive.
If only they had killed her off in Prison Break as well, that could have gone a long way in helping out that show. She was probably worse in that show actually.
Oh and I don't like how T-Dog was killed off. Even with the walkers at the gate, you would figure by now all of the survivors would be watching their backs as almost a sixth sense.
ps Michael Rooker is awesome; I am so happy they brought him back. I have been a longstanding member of the Michael Rooker fan club for almost 5 years now! I just love when he randomly shows up in so many movies.

Well that was a rough ride.
Carl sure is growing up a lot faster than he should have to. I dunno if he's going to end up like a hero, or more like the govenor.
T-Dawg going out like a hero was cool, but I don't know why everyone was so broken up about his character. He seemed like a token black guy to me. He finally got some speaking roles this season and now he's dead. He had so few spots last season that I forget he was a character sometimes.
As far as the TV portion goes, I certainly wasn't invested in his character, though I think some people here are thinking more about the comics or something, cause I sure didn't see him enough to care too much.
The Lori and Carl scene was pretty tough and cool, but they nearly ruined it by playing that overly sappy piano music over her speech to Carl. Didn't fit with the score of the series so far at all, and was unnecessary given the weight of the situation.
Thought she might die, so I'm not surprised, though I do wonder about all the character hate. It's like that with Skyler and Breaking Bad too, it's like if a female makes an unpopular decision, or has to make a responsible decision people either think she's boring or holding the guys back. Unless she's hot of course. Meh, don't get it.
I had one question someone might know the answer too. In the new opening credits they have a symbol or object beside all the actors names that represent the character. Reedus has arrows, Yeun has a watch, Lincoln has a badge, etc. But for Sarah's character Lori, there is just a centipede and some bullet casings. What's up with that, anyone know?
Or maybe the producers hate her character too? Hah!

At that point she may have been good as dead due to complications anyway. Sometimes the c-section is to save the mom's life too, it may have been assumed that a natural birth was out of the question by that point. That's what I got from the scene anyway.
Then it becomes let them both die, or just let her die.

Couldn't stand Lori and T-dawg was a useless character, glad they are gone. I also assume Carl didn't shoot her and just shot into the air or something, not that it matters because I doubt she is surviving that.

I didn't get the T-Dogg love either. He seemed to try stirring up crap in season 2, and he only had two memorable moments this season (All series rather)
His death was rough though. Honourable but rough.
I think Carl shot Lori. I'm sure he knew there was no chance of her making it, and I know he would make sure to prevent his mom from coming back as a zombie, a pantless gutted one no less. I think the flashback of Carl and Rick assured that he did the deed.

Carl shot her, he's a stone cold bad ass. No question about it.
In the scenes from next week it looks like the crazy doctor gets bit by a walker.

I think it was interesting that T-Dog seemed to have taken over being the moral compass in some ways for the group since Dale died and voila! now he's dead, wonder if the writers are doing that on purpose?
I'm sad to see him go tho - he was a quiet favourite of mine & I had really been enjoying his somewhat expanded role this season.
I thought it was more than time for Lori to go - it's a great way to really let Rick get all crazy mad with grief and set up an explosive meet with the Governor at some point.
This was a crazy episode - can't believe it's only ep.4, not even the mid-season finale!!!! Love this show!
(And Carl totally shot Lori - he wouldn't let his momma turn and he wouldn't want anyone else to do it for him/Rick...I'm liking his character so much more this season, the kid's becoming the most adaptable survivor of them all.)
