I wouldn't take it personally, Dino and Dissentowner are wrong about pretty much everything hockey related.
I think Florida has a good chance but it's a coin flip series. That's the reality, that the unthinkable might actually happen.

lol being a homer...the vast majority of people outside this forum picked the Stars to win the series and they were also the betting favourite going in. All I ever said was that a few certain posters would rather they win to say I told you so...and you guys are proving it.
Dallas had the expected goals win in 4 of 5 games, shockingly the Oilers won the goalie battle

And Dallas was so terrible they were gonna easily lose to the Jets and Stars...Rhett/Paulie and his perfect playoff bracket throwing stones in his glass house.
I promise you that if the Panthers are up by two goals in the 2nd period of game one I won't claim the series over, thats all I ever called out.

No, you're trying to get to the finals to try and win the Stanley Cup. The trophy every team plays to win. The conference finals trophies are just there.
When players win in the conference finals they aren't happy they won a trophy. They're happy they now have a 50% chance at winning the Stanley Cup.

Yes, you need to win it to get to the finals but if the NHL did away with the conference finals trophies I don't think the players would be disappointed.
Because it's not the trophy that players dream about winning. It's just a symbol that you made it to the finals which ends up just being a painful reminder of how close you were if you end up losing in the finals.
