Alright everyone enough with the drive by posts. You know that's not appreciated round here. The formula is passive aggressive dismissal, outright dismissal, passive backhanded compliment, closing dismissal.

This is politics not polite conversation.

Who knew a thread with "President-Elect Donald Trump" in the title could get so emotional.

I miss the days when a 1-2 to the centre of the gut was enough....

Anyways back to the likely debacle that is a Trump Presidency. It's gonna be House of Cards meets Game of Thrones on steroids with all the backstabbing and behind the scenes dealings we're about to see. Whole article is worth a read but this stood out. Petty and vindictive appear to be the most desired traits of the Trump administrations.

Did I miss something? Has it become public why Christie is suddenly a pariah? What did he do to get excommunicated from the church of Trump? I know he was heading transition, and then suddenly not. What the heck happened?

Bridgegate. Maybe Trump knows it wasn't just Christie's aides that were involved.

To be fair Christie just had a bunch of former staffers found guilty in bridgegate. Maybe they felt he was a liability overall.

I think the official line is "too much baggage"

Yeah, I read that theory. I just figured that can't be it though, that's nothing new. There must be a reason for the sudden change.

Or hell, maybe there's no reason for it. Maybe he's just that erratic; that's equally plausible I guess.

The other weird thing was the stories about they might be asking for security access for his kids. That doesn't make much sense, security access is for those that need to know something to do their job, and Trump's kids can't have a job. Being part of the transition team is bad enough, but they can't be high level in government and run Trump's companies. Trump gets a special exemption for conflict of interest with regards to his presidential actions, but his kids don't. EDIT: Not to mention giving tasty jobs to family isn't just a sign of corruption, it's actual corruption.
