Even as bad as the Texans have been, they can still actually get the #3 seed if Baltimore wins tomorrow, but Pittsburgh wins the AFC North.

Suffice to say Mark Davis did not like the play call on the Derek Carr injury

Who needs a coach anyhow? Vikings players know better than those stupid guys actually paid to devise schemes and where guys should play to have a chance to succeed....right?

Quote:
As Jordy Nelson had a banner day against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, the team's defensive backs apparently devised a strategy to cover the Green Bay Packers wide receiver independent of what coach Mike Zimmer wanted.

After Minnesota's 38-25 loss to the Packers, Zimmer explained that the Vikings had planned for cornerback Xavier Rhodes to shadow Nelson. Rhodes, though, said the Vikings' cornerbacks had decided on a different plan during the week, opting to have Rhodes stay at right cornerback, with veteran Terence Newman or second-year player Trae Waynes at left cornerback.

"In the first half, Terence Newman came over and said something to me like, 'I can cover this guy; let me have him,'" Zimmer said. "I said, 'Do what you're supposed to do.'"

"We felt as a team, as players, we came together and we felt like we'd never done that when we played against the Packers," he said. "Us as DBs felt like we could handle him. That's how we felt as DBs that we could stay on our side and cover him. In the beginning, we'd always played against them and played our sides, we never followed, so that's what we felt as DBs. That's what we went with."

Nelson's 154 yards were the fourth most in his career, and his most in a game against the Vikings.

"It's one of those things that, we have multiple guys out there that can make plays, so it's hard for teams to focus on one player," Nelson said. "They started doing it later, but we can all play different positions, so they were able to continue to move around, and we were able to make plays."
Unbelievable.

If Im Ziggy Wilf i tell Zimmer to sit every one of those losers next week and beyond that I would make sure a couple of them never wear the purple and gold again.

Makes the utter collapse of the Vikings this season alot more understandable to learn that this is the character of their veteran leadership (referring to Newman). What a disgrace, his career is done.

Yeah it's ruined my holidays pretty much lol. The team was laying a nice beatdown on the Colts and may have been the one team in the AFC that could give the Patriots a run and now it's the Matt McGloin show. I will say McGloin has some experience and isn't terrible so surrounded by that offensive line and playmakers it's still possible they can win a playoff game but otherwise it's a a tough pill to swallow after waiting 14 years.

Not sure I get that spike on first down for Pittsburgh. 40 seconds is a long time, and then throw it underneath for 6 yards and waste a timeout anyway. More awful clock management.

Prevent defense just prevents you from winning. Pees is another long line of garbage coordinators employed by Harbaugh.

Broncos have now surrendered their longest rushing play and longest pass play of the season in same quarter. The previous long pass play was 53 yards against the Chargers.

The Chiefs, who haven't scored more than two offensive touchdowns in any of their last seven games, have three in the first quarter tonight.

Denver is fortunate to still be in the game. Here's hoping Andy Reid starts playing Marty ball again in the 2nd half.
