Mason Mount has agreed personal terms with Man United, per Telegraph. Clubs haggling over transfer fee.
I don't get it. Mount only has one year left on his deal, but you're paying the English premium ... plus Chelsea will surely demand a lot from a rival. If you badly need a striker and have other holes too, why blow that kind of money on Mount? Bit of a head scratcher.

Exactly. One of the positions United are flush and proper with.
Optimistically, maybe this means, a CB, DM and Striker are also on the docket.
(wishful perhaps)

I was wondering where Mount would fit in at Man U with their current lineup or is he just a depth piece with Champions league next year? Like you said, I didn't think Man U had a Mount hole.

in between Casemiro and Fernandes, I would presume ... allows you to have Eriksen as an impact sub. I get the idea that Eriksen needs cover or an upgrade, but with the other holes in the squad (striker being the obvious one, but they also need a goalkeeper, a centre back and another midfielder), it'd be a bit of a luxury signing. And for that, I'd say it's way too expensive.

Oh I wasn't aware, and that makes sense then. I just assumed it was a Pep, mind-games lineup decision.

They are like 3x above the permitted loss threshold for the last three seasons cumulatively with 360 mil in losses.
Troubles there are way deeper than this season, will take 3 or 4 years for them to dig themselves put and rebuild a decent foundation on solid ground

Full season of Dyche to look forward to as well. I have respect for him, but I don't know if he's really Everton's style long term. But like you mentioned, possible none of that matters with possible point deductions.
Eager to see how the new and improved Burnley look next year!

I still can't believe they are letting Gundogan leave on a free, what a player.

back in the game, thanks to agent Jack
squad depth is going to be a problem for United here. Attacking options on the bench are Garnacho, Pellistri, Elanga and Weghorst ... yikes. Those injuries to Antony, Sabitzer and Martial (because of course) really sting in a game like this.

De Gea has to have that one. Yeah, it went through a lot of bodies, but it seemed to go in slow motion.

That feels like kind of a soft one to concede by De Gea? But Gundogan, again, not only is he leaving but he's going to play for poverty wages at Barca?

Stupid City.
Would be nice to see Pep try to win something without having the best squad in the World at his disposal.

well, it is what it is. Would have loved to spoil their treble bid, but there's no denying there's a still huge gap in quality. City is throwing players like Phil Foden on after 75 minutes, United have Wout Weghorst ...
I'm honestly less pissed about United losing the final than the fact that Pep and City are on their way to the treble. There's nobody in world football who deserves this less, but again, it is what it is.

It's rare for an English player to fly under the radar, but it really does feel like John Stones is pretty underrated. He can even make Maguire look decent alongside him.

I'm basically in the same boat. Have you considered horrendously unethical financial doping?
