Great local story on Johnny. I got my train ticket, game ticket, beer, Johnny hockey shirt, flames hat, and food packed for a 10am 20min trip to Philly to support Johnny.
I never noticed it before, but I think Johnny's got a bit of a bad ass Philly/Boston accent going on.
So mods can ask me for my source and i can provide, but a friend of mine told me that he talked with Brian Burke yesterday and asked him about Johnny. Burke said right to him that Johnny would be in the line up Sunday night vs the Canucks.
Take it for what its worth but those were the words out of his mouth.
Nailed it hahaha
Im a bit sad this ride is over, that was great guys
It's kind of sad. Gaudreau's time as a prospect is drawing to a close. Lot of highs and even a few lows. Quite the emotional rollercoaster for us fans.

College hockey has not seen a forward like Johnny Gaudreau in quite a while.
How long will it be before this level of hockey sees another player of his caliber?
Boston College’s Gaudreau became the first player in 11 years to reach 80 points in a Hobey Baker Award-winning season, and it’s little surprise that Gaudreau is USCHO’s choice as national player of the year.

“He was asked to play with the US team and we weren’t going to let him go, which is why it wasn’t announced until just recently. He’s been working with his academic advisors and professors to get his work done before he leaves, so it sounds like he got all that taken care of and we gave him the green light to go. That wasn’t going to happen until we were sure he was going to get his courses in and get credit for them,” commented Guy, speaking like a true hockey parent.

I really hope we are closing in on the end of hearing from Johnny's parents about his career. Dude is almost 21 years old. You've done your job. Stay out of the media and let him speak for himself.

In all seriousness, it sounds like his parents treat him by how old he looks and not by his actual age. He's not even the baby of the family so they can't play that card.
I think it's the right call to get the credits finished, but you make your son look like a teenager by saying "We weren't going to allow...". Seriously guys, he's 21

I have no problem with parental involvement. I still ask my Mom and Dad for advice and I'm 35. However, at 21 they would have had a hard time telling people they weren't "allowing" me to do something
