Maybe picking Favre up off the scrap heap last week will turn out to be the move of the season in my pool.

I'm 2-2 in my full keeper league. Each team has a 45 man roster which you keep year over year, and there is a rookie only draft every year.
We start 1QB, 2WR, 2RB, 1 Flex, 1TE, 1K, 1 LB, 1 DB, 1DL and 1 defensive flex
1 point per 10 yards receiving/rushing
1 point per 25 yard passing
6 points per TD
4 points per sack
1 point per tackle
3 poitns per FG, 5 points if over 50 yards
My team is as follows
Jay Cutler - QB
Reggie Wayne -WR
Greg Jennings - WR
Deangelo Williams - RB
Joseph Addai - RB
Jermichael Finley - TE
Patrick Willis - LB
Who Cares -DB
Who Cares- DL
Curtis Lofton - FLEX D
My bench is:
Vernon Davis TE
Roy Williams WR
Percy Harvin WR
Marion Barber RB
Felix Jones RB
Tashard Choice RB
Taylor Price WR
Corell Buckhalter RB
Lagarrette Blount RB
Jacoby Jones WR
plus a bunch more
We are in our 3rd year. I have made the playoffs the two previous years, once knocked out in wildcard the other in the semi finals. It is a 12 person league and with the large rosters there is pretty much nothing on the waiver wire. The oonly way to improve your team is via the draft or trades.
Anybody see any glaring weaknesses or strengths in my roster? I have both Vernon Davis and Finley but so far no good offers for either. I'd probably take a 1st rounder to move Davis and draft a good WR in the upcoming draft to come up under Reggie Wayne as he is getting older.

I think your RB is weak. Until Dallas figures out WTF they are doing you have a 3 headed monster in a pass first offense. Cadillac has disappointed this season so far. Addai has 228 rushing yards so far, so he isn't going to carry much load.
But my FF philosophy has always been RB>WR; a poor game for a starting RB will almost always be much better than a poor game for a WR, and good games for each will be similar.

I'm tempted since I'm weak in WR (Calvin Johnson, Demaryius Thomas, Kenny Britt), and Sproles is riding my bench, but this is a keeper league and I'm thinking Bradford can be a stud for a long time.
After starting the season 0-2, I have evened my record to 2-2 and scored the most points in the league this week, so my team is kind of rolling.
|
Garcon will be riding you bench too anyway... Garcon has been out the last 2 games with injury and who knows when he is back to 100%

Yeah, I grabbed him in one of my leagues when I saw Jay Cutler getting killed. I don't know if I'll start the old man this week, but moving forward I think he's going to be my QB. I do think this early bye week is going to be a huge benefit to Farve, and now having Moss as a jump ball guy will boost things that much more.

Who would you start this week:
Donovan McNabb vs. GB
Kevin Kolb @ SF
-I'm kinda looking at it as the sure mediocre thing vs. the unknown which could pay bigger dividends(but also bigger bad game potential). McNabb will probably put up ok #'s but nothing special, whereas Kolb has looked good in that offence before. But again, he could be rusty. I'm leaning McNabb but the more I look at it, the more I'm looking at Kolb.

Who would you guys start this week?
Turner or Best?
Best has a good match up but is nursing a toe injury and Turner has been a huge disappointment so far this year.

I'd probably opt for Best since he's both a receiving and rushing threat. I don't know if many realize it, but both the Browns and Rams have been pretty good on the defensive side of the ball this year.

I am dominating my nemesis by a score of 103-18 and he's down to a half of David Acres and Vernon Davis in one of my leagues. I'm hoping he doesn't even get to 20 tonight., he'll never hear the end of it from me. Who am I kidding, he's not going to hear it as is.

So if Calvin Johnson is out this week who should I go with
Kenny Britt against a terrible Jags pass defence
or
Michael Crabtree against the Raiders?
And...I apologize to flamestar16, I hope you started Turner.

Crabtree did finally break out, but that just means you know this week he will be covered by Asomugha (Josh Morgan should be the next target).
Based on that, I'd go with Britt.

thats a tough one, they have both been so hit or miss this season
I would probly go Forte because Seattle has been terrible on the road this season and KC's defense has been good home and away

I don't think Foster is going to have two bad games in a row, and Forte seldom has two good ones in a row. Go with Foster.
