I'd love to give some advice but I find that after someone else has given advice, and sometimes a lot of it, it's just not the same anymore.



Anyways...i'd love to give you some good solid advice but I have no first hand experience. I know of people that have been together years and years and years that took a long time to develop any feelings for each other. They needed to experience life first and then something clicked. For me, I started dating my wife our final year in high school and for both of us it was instantly a serious thing and we connected on all levels. It's been 21 years since that first date and those connections just continue to grow.

In your case it does somewhat seem like you are at a different level OR that you aren't yet able to put your feelings into thoughts/words. Seriously take stock of the situation. Are you uncomfortable with the situation because you don't want to be at that level or is it because you are scared you are at that level (and don't really want to admit it)? if the relationship were to end (assume for at least a good chunk of time there is little chance of being friends) how would it impact your life? What would you miss? What wouldn't you miss? And lastly, I don't think it's necessarily a deal killer if it takes one person longer to arrive at the same place provided the timeline isn't that drawn out. So basically, I have no real advice other than to be brutally honest with yourself. If you do that, you'll know what the correct course of action is.
