Surprised more people aren't talking about this. I honestly think they've exposed a major problem with the yellow card rules. Maybe defer the 1-game suspensions to the knockout round for teams that have already qualified or something. This could change the game.

Absolutely genius by Mourinho. Exposed the utter stupidity of the rule and made UEFA look like fools, I fully support that.

I was surprised Ronaldo didn't get himself sent of too, and even surprised that he didn't get himself sent off first.

It is not the first time this has happened and it certainly won't be the last. I really have no ideas on how it can be done that will not be exploitable.

Ajax used to be a European powerhouse. Now, they sadly can't compete with the big moneyed teams.

Rangers are playing a 10-0 formation against United again, in a game they have to win

Inter are being outplayed from what I saw against Twente as well
a draw or a twente win there would mean Spurs only need a draw at twente in the last game to finish 1st in the group

Agreed. Hopefully this sparks a return to the excellent form he was in last fall.

Any idea how much more money Spurs will receive now that they've qualified for the KO?

this shows how much teams got last year
https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=h...LOAD.pdf&pli=1
the market pool is the tv revenue which gets split out at the end of season evenly based on games played
so even a team like Madrid or Milan who went out in the 1st KO stages last year made 23m Euro's
so they would be looking at that so far earned on the low end

Should be enough to add someone substantial in January.
