I know lots of people with iPhones and that's their choice, I myself would never own one. I don't use my phone as an experience or status symbol, it's a tool. I phone, I email, I text, I use the calendar and contacts, and for those things it's perfect. I own a Storm2 and I love it, and I can't wait for OS6.

To each their own I guess.

That is pretty narrow-minded to think that every iPhone user thinks of it as a 'status symbol'.

Especially considering I see them everywhere.

I bought the iPhone because I love the browser and the seemingly infinite possibilities of all the apps. Also so I don't have to carry an iPod around any more. So far I haven't had a single instance of buyer remorse.

Some people might buy it as a status thing, but I explored androids before concluding the iPhone was right, and I might have explored bb a little more if I wasn't so turned off from the pearl.

Yeah, it would be....hence why I didn't say that.

Does the CFL even have a mobile site? I tried looking for one on there and it gave me some kind of all-encompassing sports site that wasn't very useful. I just want something like the NHL mobile site, I don't care about an app (dammit telus!).

The normal CFL site takes a really long time to load on the ol' Pearl flip.

Yeah, I second the score app. I also use the free SI app for sports news and columns.

It is highly recommended that you pull the battery from time to time even if you are not experiencing difficulty. If you haven't experienced any problems doesn't mean that you won't. I try to do it at least once a week on my Tour. Usually pull it before I go in the shower, can't use the BB in there.

The older version I got shortly after the Pearl Flip came out was perfect, no problems whatsoever. I upgraded it to a newer version which looked way better and had more features. About a month after that, it stopped loading updates to the weather. After a week of that problem, I deleted it and reinstalled the app. After that it couldn't connect at all. You'll see plenty of comments about this on BlackBerry App World. Add to this the many apps which simply aren't compatible with the Pearl/Pearl Flip, and yeah...frustrating.

Try and download it from theweathernetwork.com, instead of app world.

I have the free app QuickPull if I need to reset the device. I have done it after removing some apps and themes. Regardless, the 9700 is pretty damn solid. I've heard of others with other BB's having issues, but not much about the 9700.

No real complaints, slow processor so it lags a bit, and screen res could be better. Conclusion I've come to is that it's a solid device if you are upgrading from an older BlackBerry, but a current iPhone or Android phone user will want nothing to do with it.

Not sure what this means, but it is interesting.

Wonder how much those numbers will change as more review of the Torch and OS come out.

That's actually a pretty interesting chart. Goes along with what people I know have been doing to. The iPhone users are loyal, as are the Androids. Many i know with BB's are switching- and only still using their corporate BB phone.
