That hold down play trick is beautiful. Thank you!

Oh and as a side note, iFlicks is perhaps my new favorite application. To have an mkv ready to go in 10 minutes is new ground for me.

Glad to hear. it is a great application, and the updated beta is proving to be excellent.

with my old appletv, i never did the iTunes integration, instead used XBMC or boxee. however with iFlicks, i kind of prefer to use iTunes due to the metadata!

They just need a PC version...

Not sure if this had been mentioned yet or not, but "they" have managed to get apps running on jailbroken AppleTVs now.

http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/20/a...n-weather-app/

Sure didn't take long.

Plex please.

Cool story bro: I own two of the original AppleTV’s. I was in the Apple store yesterday to pick up iLife 11, and I saw them sell two of the AppleTV’s while I was there. I have NEVER seen anyone buy an AppleTV at the Apple store before. Anecdotal evidence, I know, but in general, I have never witnessed someone purchasing an AppleTV before, at any retail store that carries them (Apple, Best Buy, etc)

Haha yea, at 99$(119 CAD) and being an Apple product they will move. I think AirPlay will be a significant feature. 250K aTV's sold so far, not bad for a hobby.

Wow, iFlicks is seriously awesome. 90% of my downloaded content are mkv's so a one-stop remux/iTunes import is perfect.

Apple TV also working great with my harmony remote. Quickly replaced SageTV as my downloaded-content player.

Apple TV came through huge at my kid's 1st birthday party. Went downstairs, launched iphoto, made an album of any photo that contained him in the last year rated 4 stars or higher, went back upstairs, hit 3 buttons on the remote and had an HD looping slideshow of his life so far. The parents were quite impressed.

Although I said I'd feel weird buying anything from the Apple Store, I did go in an buy the new AppleTV last weekend.

I love it, and stragely, my techno-lacking wife loves it as well. I came home to her listening to John Mayer, watching a slide show of pictures, and her giving me crap that I don't have all his songs on my iTunes.

The interface is clean, and easy to use. The Netflix interface is so much better than Wii's, which we were using beforehand. And I don't have to burn any more DVDs for 'borrowed' movies.

It's perfect for what I wanted to use it for.

With this iFlicks program, do dvd's have to be ripped into a video file first, or can iFlicks use the ISO or VOB/VTS files?

Hey iFlicks beta users - does the beta still expire if you have a license?
