It wasn' that bad, but the play needs to blown down right there, prob lem with rebound is that they happen, and defenseman in proper position should be able to clear them, so i would suggest it's more then just Kipper, I am not defending him, all i am saying is that the blame falls on the entire team, further more that first goal was not only a gaff by Kipper, but did his defenceman think he was just going to fire that puck into traffic from that far out...miscommunication and a misread by both, you're taught from an early age to keep pucks away from traffic

Yeah, but that's not how people are going to frame this. Hopefully Kipper keeps cool as usual and has a thick skin.
All I'm concerned about is how he plays for the Flames. Rather the bad game now than in a week.
Finland needs to just man up and play a decent remainder of the game. They could still win a bronze medal.

If we, Canada are able to beat the Slovaks, I would rather have played the US anyways. Much better game it would be. I only want the Canadian boys to win. Doesnt matter to me if Kipper/Hagman win anything at all.

Darn, this is what I was afraid of when Kipper was going to the Olympics. I really hope he can put it behind him and play well for the Flames the rest of the season.

It's okay people - you can admit Kipper was awful out there. Who cares? He's not wearing Flames red so why should you? The real issue is whether this has long-lasting effects into the remainder of the NHL season.
|
Perfect example of using only what is convient for you...i said way more then that, and Nabokov did suck, so did the guys in front of him. Like i said, i had an issue with Ray Ferraro's commentary, he focused on the goalie, like any normal would do, when in fact the entire team quit.

The same logic doesn't apply to Luongo apparently.

I sure hope they don't. Backstrom needs to start, Nittymaki needs to back up and Kipper needs to be in SW Calgary.

Prob because he hasn't played at a consistent high level all season, like Kipper, so ya logic says it doesn't apply

What's convenient for me? Okay buddy. I've said numerous times Finland sucked. You've completely neglected to put ANY blame on Kiprusoff and went as far as saying that every goal (except the first) required the save of the year to keep the puck out of the net.

I think you guys are putting too much thought into this. Kipper will forget about this tomorrow. US torched the Finns like Canada torched the Russians.
If Canada kills the Slovaks and Canada and US are clearly the best two teams in the tournament.. no argument, no flukes etc....
Media are anti-Flames.. that's no surprise.

Who cares how people frame it as long as he knows the truth. I would think everything Kiprusoff has done in his career this will not bother him for one second after he lands in Calgary. If anything this could help the Flames because Kiprusoff could be on a mission once people start questioning.
Canuck trolls popping in should probably hold off until Loungo plays tonight.
