I got Wil Wheaton to @ me once. Sadly he doesn't follow me.

I got a reply from Joe Rogan and Anthony Gallegos of IGN and Rebel FM.

2010 was a good year for me.

Also don't underestimate the number of people that just monitor the #yyc hashtag. I throw that into a tweet every now and then if it's valuable info (in my eyes), and I usually get about 3-5 people following me.

Again, very important to stress that the goal isn't to get followers, but rather people that share a common interest as you. Better to have 5 people who are like you than 200 spambots.

I could absolutely care less about people following me (still have never sent out a tweet), but its a great source for news. So glad I added Al-Jazeera English when all the protests started last month, gotten so much up to the second info from that. Seen some just unbelieveable videos/pics from that. After Gmail, Twitter's the first site I check in the morning.

The only semi-famous person that has replied to me was Tyson Nash. Only because he played hockey with my brother. I don't usually send tweets to the semi-famous people anyways. I have only sent to Bob Mackenzie, Tyson Nash, James van Riemsdyk and Cabbie.

also if anyone cares I like getting followers @realdavebekar

The most pathetic people on Twitter are the ones who tweet famous people by saying something like "It's my birthday! I'd love an RT!". Whenever I see those I laugh so hard. "I love u I love u, plz RT me, plzzzzz", why don't you just do us all a favour and kill yourself.

I had the OKC Barons @ me during the Barons - Heat game in Calgary. I was flustered for the entire second period. It made my night.

I had Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo's Puck Daddy blog respond to me once saying that my preference for players in NES's Ice Hockey (skinny, skinny, medium, fat) is identical to Ryan Kesler. Not sure how to take that.

I got a reply from Wyshinski as well, but it was to my suggestion that the Oilers should have picked up Brendan Witt to stop that car wreck of a season they were having.

My celeb moments on Twitter was a Biznasty retweet and a Down Goes Brown mention.

Noob question, how do you block someone who's already following you? Seems like something that would be simple enough, but I just looked at it and can't figure it out.

Lock your account, then remove the offending follower.

Speaking of celeb replies, Resolute got a RT from Bob MacKenzie yesterday begging for a little love for Cory Sarich.

I used to listen to Andrew Siciliano on XM fox sports and I told him I missed his show and Krystal Fernandes and got a retweet.
